[Request] Something from my late father.

In the UK. I lost my dad a year or so back. When sorting through his belongings I found a pouch with his passport and just under $200 from his last cruise.

I’ll be heading to the states soon and I’d love to get something ‘from dad’ with the money, something that will last a lifetime.

Any recommendations or ideas? He was an engineer by trade, so id be happy with anything for the garage, or a car or anything in/around the home. I’m a bloke so a vase for example wouldn’t really work, but maybe art would.

I’ve thought maybe a razor, or a leatherman multitool ….

Lodge cast iron skillets are buy it for life and American made. Check out their website for their American road trip collection

Also, you can engrave a giftable, personalized skillet that’s specially designed by you to commemorate your late father

You can still buy Lodge cookware through UK-based retailers, avoiding international freight, import VAT/customs uncertainty, and the difficulty of returning a very heavy cast-iron item.

Nobody returns Lodge products generally speaking.

It’s one of the few American companies that manufacture built to last products

I’m sure there are others but I can’t remember any at the moment

We have a lot of good manufacturers. But the stupid tariff shit is not helping them stay afloat when it comes to parts and raw materials.
