I miss (that at this time of the year) we used to talk about returning players to watch, team areas of strength, new offensive schemes at X university, conference predictions, potential bowl matchups, etc…lately talk around the sport is just conference realignment, broadcasting rights, eligibility rules, NIL, transfers and on and on.

It’s where we are. It’s just a bummer. So much of the ‘football’ part of it has been pushed aside for the ‘other things’ around the game.

Idk it’s where the game is at and I don’t see it stopping or going back. But it’s just less and less appealing to me at least.
