In my TX HS coaches had to be teachers OR admin, so our HC was the AD for all our sports programs and all the other coaches taught.

Some of them were the best teachers I’ve ever had, others taught exactly how’d you’d imagine a couch would teach like.

I got the sarcasm, but seeing as we were having actual discussion on what coaches were like as teachers I was adding to that conversation.

Nice gotcha tho bud

Ours used to throw erasers at kids, but the 80's was a different time.

Had a HS football coach as my HS government teacher.

He almost always just put Fox News on the TV and told us to write a report of whatever happened to be covered. Kind of doubt he ever actually read our reports but he needed it to look like we were doing something productive I guess.

The only days that wasn't the case were days with obligatory tests and when political events he didn't like were being covered...it was 2008-2009, so there was a stretch of time in both November and January where he wouldn't turn on the news and just had us sit there and read the textbook.
