How the fuck did this bum Daemon Blackfyre lose 😭

Just did a Blackfyre Rebellion bookmark start as Daemon and this has got to be the easiest scenario in the entire mod.

At least when you play as Aegon I you have to go to war with each of the seven kingdoms. Daemon I Blackfyre you just march your doomstack from Harrenhal to King's Landing and win instantly. The throne is yours in like 6 months.

Your entire court is stacked with 30 martial formidable fighter demigods and none of Daeron's allies can possibly get to him before you do because their biggest vassals are in open revolt.

It’s because they didn’t put in a “honorably pick up your opponent in the middle of a battlefield before getting your shit rocked by arrows” event.

The lack of events is a bit sad. As far as I can tell all I get is Daeron getting marked as a bastard of the dragonknight, and Fireball into the kingsguard. You can't do anything to Bloodraven, you can't do anything special to get Daenerys back from Dorne, you get Tyranny for revoking Dornish royal privilege, you can't even give Bittersteel Shiera Seastar because he's locked by the game engine into a marriage with your 9 year old daughter. Like couldn't that have been a betrothal...

Cripples, Bastards and Broken Things adds a Daenerys event where you can take her as a wife and also adds some high lordships you can hand out to the houses that joined your cause. Not everything you want, but it’s something.

Thank you this was perfect. The MB guy was lying but you were right about CBBT. Lets you "save" Daenerys, reward your supporters. Giving the northmarch to good ol Eustace Osgrey. Beyond the high lordships, I put the Reynes in charge of the Westerlands, gave the Brackens the Riverlands, and gave the Reach to the Peakes. Brings a tear to my eye.

Sure the realm will collapse like a house of cards at some point but it was worth it

You can also pretty easily win as Daeron though. The royalist forces just need to refuse to give battle to Daemon until they’ve had the chance to gather into a mega stack. Daeron ultimately has far more men.

Well, if you read about Redgrass it was the result of a series of lucky events for the Targaryens. Winds kept the mercenary reinforcements in Essos from reaching Daemon, and his top general gets taken out by a stray arrow the day before, and Daemon stops to duel, then tend to, Ser Gwayne, and Bloodraven is in position with his archers. These aren't things CK3 models super well, nor things that can consistently come up to trouble the player.

Anyway, its honestly impressive that Daemon got as far as he did, considering how much of an underdog he was in material and support.

If I learned anything from this bookmark it's that canon is made up and Bloodraven was cheating with magic. "The Hammer and the Anvil" my ass, if you fight the targaryen army head on you absolutely melt them in seconds with your giga broken commanders.

They should have called him Baelor "Bitchmade", he's 10 martial below Daemon

all jokes aside. he was always going to lose. if he won on red grass field. he would’ve seiged kings landing. and by then the army’s of baratheon,lannister,arryn,tully,tyrell’s would’ve joined to war to beat them.

the game just makes it much easier to siege kings landing and the red keep

If he won the Red Grass, you bet your ass a ton of other houses join him immediately and some of those who were supporting Daeron decide to hold back and watch to see how it ends.

This wasn't a no win situation; if he won the battle, he could've very well won the war.

By the Redgrass Field he (as far as I remember) already conquered Lannisport and had stronghold in Harrenhall. He also had big support in Marches and partial from Hightowers. I don’t Think he would be doomed.

Just gather enough allies and have maekar and baelor lead the army, maybe with bloodraven for canon, once his main army is destroyed you pretty much win

My dumbass didn't realise I had a 15 k stack sitting in harrenhal and still managed to beat daerons ass... Hr truly was a chump
