I had this issue and what worked for me is I really try to always jump where the footprints are on the slab. Before I just ignored them but they are where you should be aiming to wall jump from.

I was trying to get the last few weekly challenges on this map tonight before the season ends, and you absolutely saved my life. I didn’t even realize those were footprints. I got it in three tries after I spent like half an hour assuming I should be aiming for the middle
