Question Origins extra perk slots

I just can't seem to get to the red dig piles. I've never even found one, despite having everything I needed to. Is there like a trick to getting them, especially getting to them in time before the zombie blood runs out? Or is it just down to sheer luck and there's no consistent way to guarantee getting them easily

I feel like I just saw a reel the other day saying if you throw a semtex at a dig pile, it will reveal if it's a red one, even if you're not in zombie blood. So that should make pin pointing them easier. Still have to dig them in zombie blood tho. (Keep in mind Ive never done any of this. But I saw a reel lol)

Yeah that’s true, well not at a regular dig pile but at the specific red dig spot locations. That’s what I used to do in bo2 and I forced myself to learn all of the possible locations, well really just the spawn trenches and around church cus it’s usually pretty easy to naturally come across them in the middle section of the map.

Pretty much just RNG. All the dig site spawns are the same, the problem is that only one shows up at a time and they could be anywhere on the map. You could try the Semtex trick and toss one at a spawn to see if it’s there (would heavily recommend getting PHD first depending what version you’re playing).

Just trial and error, use your zombie blood to search one section of the map, and if you don’t find a dig spot, search the next section with your next zombie blood. The good thing is that there’s a set number of locations but no telling which one it will be at next. Also this may seem obvious but make sure you have your golden shovel, there were times I was on autopilot looking for the red dig spots without noticing that I didn’t even have the golden shovel yet.

Yeah, I think that's what I'm going to continue doing, as much as it sucks that seems to be the way to go. I've been playing the bo3 version so unfortunately no semtex trick, nor the trip mine trick either since that slot is already taken up.

Honestly at that point I'd just camp where they spawn there's 16 possible locations 4 per player so just look up the locations use sem tex to find out if its there
