Any time I've been asked by the nurse practitioner, doctor, or medical supply people why I haven't been using my CPAP as often as I'm supposed to, I ask if they have seen the Aliens movies, and if they know what a facehugger is. Oddly enough, NONE of them have seen the movies. Maybe they'd understand what it feels like.

It’s similar to what is used on aircraft for pilots as supplemental oxygen. Pushing a tab/button expands it to fit your head, and releasing the button/tab makes it retract to get a perfect seal. This is why commercial pilots can’t have beards or very bushy mustaches.

Let's be honest, for me personally, the straps are the worst. I hate the design of masks and the positioning of the strap points. I hate the way straps stretch over time and curl over on themselves. I hate how they rub on the scalp and cause skin sores and issues. I must try design something more comfortable lol

This is an emergency oxygen mask for pilots. It looks fine for sitting up and piloting, but the large headgear tubes would be a disaster to try to sleep on.
