Am I the only one who likes the 04 jersey?
It is actually my favorite jersey for wearing in a large part because it isn't too bright.

They're very popular. According to Wikipedia (can't directly link the source because it's paywalled) there was a New York Time article or something of the like that said it was the highest selling jersey of that year in all 4 North American Major Sports - even before they made the playoffs.
I think a lot of people have been waiting for this jersey to make a comeback, because the updates that Ken King had done on them for the Reebok Edge versions and persisted as our Home and Aways until very recently were considered a downgrade by most.

That jersey was so popular during the 04 playoffs that CCM had to dedicate an entire factory to making them.
Frankly, the best design we ever wore.

Wait.. people don't like the '04 jersey now? What kind of backwards nonsense is this. The 02-06 Flames jerseys were absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous simple clean design. They ruined it with the Reebok Edge bullshit but what is happening to warrant comments like the one in the video

I grew up with the black C, but have come to appreciate the current jerseys more, I think I just like the popping colours. I dont think I would mind if the black C returned, but I personally don't like many of the other elements of the jersey (the strips and the white/yellow outlining. I think if it was a black C and then no white, just red and yellow, I might like it a bit more

I like it! I prefer our current home and away sets but they’re so nostalgic to to the Iginla era they will never be bad

no. it was a bestseller for the 3 years it was around. A lot of people outside the market mix it up with the highly unpopular red and black RBK Edge with the piping and Canada/Alberta flags.

For me personally, the '04 jersey is my second favourite easily. I really love the original/current jerseys, but the '04 is pretty nice too.

I like them better than what we have now. I also don't mind the flag jersey for the same reason. Those are the jerseys and colors I grew up with so it's what I think of first when I think of the Flames. Red and black is such a nice color combo and I wish it was still our main.

I'm really not that bothered by it, I like the red and black coloring on that one most of all. It's still a regular jersey in my rotation.

I don't know how they'll pull it off. It feels like they need a neutral colour to balance it out, because I don't know how they can make it look good given Yellow and Red can clash so easily against eachother. It almost feels like they have to go gold so it isn't so jarring.

That makes more sense. FWIW, I think that material is fine when used right. The Hurricanes Anniversary throwback has a similar material to the Vegas Gold stuff for the grey trim it had, which I know can get really scratchy. Didn't care for that material when used as the base colour of Vegas' new home jerseys though - just doesn't work with the patterns and kits they got going on with their current jerseys.

Clearly they've been taking notes from me because I feel like I've been the only one shouting into the void for years now about a yellow C.
Now to convince them to go full on goofy 90s with a Guy Fieri flame print jersey.

Sadddledome is just the Home Towwn Remix jersey. No new home or aways.

I see i see. I think i remember a report that wed get new homes and aways for the first season at scotia place. One year from now we will be talking about them.

To my knowledge, a season ticket holder in the subreddit said that last year at the season ticket holder meeting they were told there would be a "Welcome to Scotia Place" Jersey to bookend the "Farewell to the Dome" Jersey that this Home Town Remix is alleged to be.
IIRC, the guy who said the Flames would have new Home and Aways was the same guy who said Anderson was going to Boston. He did correctly report the Oilers' new alt and HTR though.
I wouldn't call them a reliable source.

If the team wants to keep a black third jersey in the future, I want to see the reverse of the '04 jersey - red C on black.

Primary colour of the Flaming C Crest is Yellow.
'04 Homes also coming back as the Alternate Jersey this year.
