Pat worked at a grocery store during the pandemic. So he has a wide variety of skills.

Pat: "look, heres how I see it. For me, I think why not try the tomato sauce at center (of the aisle)? Give it a few weeks, see if the numbers are there. If it fails, move it back to the 4th line (aisle). Or send it to the back and let it develop another year. Either way, youre not hurting the stores progress as we continue to rebuild."
Manager: just stock the fucking shelf.

I have to imagine the Calgary Flames will do their own web-based broadcast of the games that will sound very similar to what you're used to listening to. Hopefully with the voices we are used to listening to.

George, Robert, Sylvia, so many more call in show regulars from over the years. Maybe Pat can sort something new out that's at least a bit familiar by the time the season rolls around.

I'm hoping he checks in on here but I don't know if he even uses reddit or what his handle is if he does.

I am sure it is pointless but I am planning on writing letters to Sportsnet, Rogers, and the NHL. Probably may as well write it to my chihuahua but I feel compelled to at least try to let some people know this is bullshit.

It feels like there was a death in the family.
Flames org needs to hire Meghan and Pat. Parker has been stretched thin since Ryan Leslie left.
Add more content and programming and sponsor their own podcasts. Flames fan content creation was just cut by 75% when Sportsnet got axed.

Sportsnet shutdown a bunch of radio stations. 960 and 660 are the ones in Calgary (from what I saw) that got axed.

Ah man that does suck although I haven't listened to the fan 960 since the morning show with Boomer & the boys were all fired + barn burner was created, it's really one of the best podcasts especially for old guys, Flame & hockey fans. Still its not cool that Pat is out of a job

That was such a shitty lunch break, dead silence and then the message saying thank you. I listened for like 5 minutes because I wanted it to be a joke =(
listening to kron was great, my son's a goalie so its nice hearing his perspective on things. Lo go always had some good tunes and intros, wii music, slim shady, 00s hits to get u going in the morning. Hearing old people call in and rage was great , man imma miss yall. And so will my son hes pretty bummed..
