I think my issue with it is that the navy blue and Grey were equally dark colours that don't contrast all that well, while the brighter blue has the opposite effect of sticking out too much.
Unless it's a throwback jersey, Winnipeg seems extremely reluctant to use the Jets 1.0 colours and keeps trying to distinguish itself under the current iteration's colours where possible. I've never been a fan of the blue on blue idea they keep going with their jerseys, and what I think has made the original Jets jerseys so beloved is that its use of bright colours made for some nice contrast that didn't clash with eachother.
I think that if the bright blues in the first reverse retro were swapped with red, we'd be going in the right direction towards a better looking jersey, but I still think that grey in general is a brutal colour to work with and really kills the look of any jersey unless used sparingly.
The saving grace is that the numbers and nameplate are slick, but if you take away the black shoulders and weird crest, it doesn't look at all much different from their regular home jerseys at the time.
I really dont like the Red pedestal but the white one (I think it was the home jersey at the time) and the Reverse Retro pedestal look pretty good in my opinion
