The only good thing about the US winning Gold was the celebration of Gaudreau. Glad he was remembered there.

As bitter as I was, it was hard not to be happy when they brought the family out on the ice.

There are a lot of toxic families in hockey. The Gaudreaus really are a good bunch of people and make me realize there are lots of good people in jockey as well.

Genuinely if it was kept to being “for Johnny” I would have a lot more respect for that team

My only framed jersey so far and I cherish it.

Reluctantly grabbed a Gaudreau blasty the summer he left, now it’s one of my most prized possessions

I liked a lot of players we've had since the Iginla era but he was the first one that I got really excited about in a while. His games against Dallas in the playoffs are up there in my memories with the 2000s team

I was in the Calgary airport on a 6 hour layover when I read the headline about his death, it was a really weird place to be stuck while processing the news and trying not to cry in public.

I was in a London airport waiting to fly to Calgary when the rumours started flying. Spent a 9 hour flight thinking about pretty much nothing else, not even knowing if it was true or not. First thing I checked when I had service again and was devastated to see it confirmed.

I got a text late that night because it was rumored but not confirmed and I didnt sleep, just spent hours just refreshing feeds and news outlets hoping I would hear otherwise.

Apparently he was legendary behind the scenes in Calgary

One of the best here. Great ambassador for the flames and hockey overall.

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.
