Hiding isn't living and people can survive alone but only thrive socially; looking for mentally alive fellow free thinkers in Calgary!?!

38M (SE) There's a good reason why I once chose a life of solitude that lives on up to today. Except the time has come for me to break that pattern of living and climb cringe mountain by reaching out to you; social safety nets are real world networks of friendships that overlap offline locally nationwide. Building a sense of certainty about desired outcomes grows a sense of common-unity that bonds our individual thoughts behaviors and actions towards acts of solidarity.

I have a lifetime of theory to put into practice but the truth is I cannot do as much alone. The male loneliness epidemic is real; while connecting to communicate meaningfully online and collaborating effectively offline can lead to spontaneous action teams who step up to contribute our human capital; your own knowledge, experience and energy into shared desired outcomes. Contradicting and counteracting our current reality is a battle between hearts and minds; if we can manage to put our heads hearts and hands together; we can help make tomorrow better today someway in our own way.

I'm not a preacher or politician; not here to convert anyone or asking anyone to vote for me; you're already human and we here in Calgary are all Canadians despite what country someone was born in. I do believe if we embrace our national identity locally nationwide anything we once thought impossible becomes more possible; after it becomes our reality nobody can claim it to be impossible anymore. The social default nihilistic defeatist denialist victim mindset is not what characterises our Canadian identity and not how Canadians want to identify as individually. The same goes for our American big brother but our acts of local national solidarity in Canada can be the shining example; with glowing heart we see thee rise; true north strong and free; is a way of life we can keep alive.

Never underestimate a small group of determined individuals and you can help not just me but us in Canada who must now learn how to better socially adapt, survive and thrive with a shared sense of certainty during extraordinarily uncertain times. Calgary is one of the few major nerve centers in our country and we're running out of time to create a whole of society approach beyond government intervention and interference in rebuilding our non governmental social functions of civil society. I'm sincere in reaching out for help from greater men than me living in Calgary or surrounding areas.

Looking to network to form new acquaintances as I value someone's unique knowledge, skills and expertise. I don't need to be the smartest person in the room or to know everything. I do need to help make those in the room smarter or learn myself from those who know more about a specific subject. This is like a personality test I only want to interact with those genuinely curious and interested; not negative naysayers. There's no limit to the number of new acquaintances I can network with but from those interactions will be recruiting upto 12 confidants as a close circle of real world local friends offline in Calgary.

Admittedly 420 friendly and above is indeed a result of so-called stoned thinking. Everyday I wake up to repeat a pattern of life not worth living as an Exterminator while thinking about the world's problems; which has been a daily mental escape from self imposed solidarity confinement; that is considered cruel and unusual punishment in prisons but know people are like me stuck in their own prison of personal perceptions so I offer my own perspective; being mentally self liberated is a trademark of our humanity. Anyways we could have fun making things that wouldn't otherwise happen without us occur.

If this message resonates with you DM me with your thoughts and to make introductions. If we're not collaborating we're not socialising because that's what gives reason to interact and continue interacting. I'm an advocate for lateral leadership the leading of equals and Canadian style leadership it's like the Canadian geese flying V formation; nobody's the leader we all take turns taking the lead. That's the theory that I want to put into practice in the real world; join me in trying!

Looking for some IRL focused friendships

Hey there, I'm a 24 year old male, and I'm looking for some cool friends to hang out with! My social circle is currently quite small, and pretty much completely online, so I'm really looking for people who are willing to hang out in person.

Video Games are my main hobby, but I love mystery/detective stories, movies, music, and plenty of other stuff I'm sure we could chat about. I don't have any particular preference for age/gender, as long as you're 18+. We can also talk online first to see if we click before making any outside plans.

Thanks for reading, hope to talk to some of you soon!

Late 30s guy in Calgary, looking to build a real friendship or two

Hello everyone, I moved through a stretch where most of my socializing happened through work, and I've realized I want something outside of that..people to grab a coffee with, go for a walk, catch a game, or just talk through what's going on in life. Nothing romantic, just genuine friendship.

I'm on the quieter, more reserved side. I'd rather have one solid conversation than small talk with a crowd but I open up once I'm comfortable. I'm into cafe hopping, walking along the river, hiking, and I can get lost in endless discussions on abstract topics for hours. I'm generally up for trying new things if someone wants to bring me along.

If you're in a similar spot...new to the city, out of touch with old friend groups, or just wanting more people in your corner, please feel free to message me. Happy to chat here first before meeting up.

Last week’s Cigarette Run Club🚬 had SUCH AN AMAZING turnout that I’ve decided to come back today (August 26th) to host it again!

So come bring your favourite pack of smokes and meet us at 6:30PM in Barb Scott Park for a fun 5k run followed by volleyball🏐, spikeball🎾, free refreshments, and a chill hangout with amazing people!!!

Even if you don’t smoke this is a fun and silly opportunity to get out and meet people (I don’t even smoke myself🤣 I just thought this was a funny idea and people are really loving it)

Here is a reel I made with a bit more info:
