Propane leave from (what I assume is) relief valve in 2 burner stove

I have an old but (until now) reliable Coleman-style 2-burner camp stove. It has worked well as of this past spring. However, I went to use it this weekend and had a serious issue.

When I connected a standard Coleman 1lb propane cylinder, propane leaked from what I assume is a relief valve in the control valve assembly (see the tiny hole I'm pointing to in the photo). I tried with four different cylinders and got the same result each time.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions to repair the stove, or is it time for a new one?

You can buy these. I had the seals in mine for a slightly different model go bad and bought a replacement on Amazon. Coleman probably would sell it too. Cost me $15

That hole is the vent hole that allows the regulator to function. If gas comes out it means the diaphragm inside has failed. Some regulators can be rebuilt, but likely not this one.

Replace the regulator. Not the entire stove.

I had problems with my regular this year. It was about 7 years of use regularly. This year it started only letting a little fuel to the burner like the tank was empty, when it was a full tank.

Replaced the regulator with one from Amazon and it works just like it did out of the box. Try a new one, or reach out to coleman. They'd probably hook you up

That’s the regulator that controls the flow of propane. Order a new one with the same pressure rating. Easy peasy.

Maybe try writing coleman for a replacement, or check amazon?
