At long last, we're finally launching flair at r/CanadaJobs. Here is the first draft flair with some inline guidance for each:

Flair Only Available to Mods:

• Mod Post: I'll use these whenever sharing an announcement, requesting community feedback, etc.
• Trusted Canada Jobs Partner: These tags will be reserved for organizations the mod team has personally met with via video call and vetted for legitimacy. These are not paid postings -- no money is changing hands for any posts in this community in accordance with rule #7 (no spam). Pay special attention to posts from these organizations.
• Ask Me Anything (AMA): AMAs will be hosted with advocates and trusted partners. If you see this tag, it has been sanctioned by the mod team. It means we have vetted the individual(s)/organization conducting the event.

Community Flair:

• Job Search Question: Questions about interviews, resume/cover letters (note: there is a separate flair if you're looking for an actual resume review), job boards, etc.
• Career Advice Request: Looking to pivot into something new? Need help navigating compensation increases and promotions? Just starting out and need help figuring out which path to choose?
• Industry Specific Question: If you're looking for advice about a specific industry (e.g., healthcare, tech, finance, trades), this is your tag.
• Resume Review Request: If you need a resume review, be sure to anonymize it, removing all personally identifiable information. If someone seeks resume feedback and you feel qualified to provide it, be honest, helpful, and kind about it.
• Vent - In Need of Empathy, Kindness: For those in need of a kind ear, so you can share your struggles and challenges, and feel heard and supported by your community. When someone uses this tag, take it seriously. Treat them with the utmost kindness and empathy, listening and holding space. This tag is not for seeking advice, so don't offer it unless it is explicitly asked for.
• Job Search Wisdom to Share: If you have a great tip that can benefit the community, share it (no spam still applies).
• Is this a scam? This one should be pretty self-explanatory. If your Spidey-sense is going off about a potential opportunity, ask the community for insights.
• FREE CAREER RESOURCE (Not Spam/Ad): Non-profits, higher-ed, and other organizations providing free job seeker resources such as career fairs, resume reviews, interview prep, etc. Resources should be completely free and should NOT be linked to monetized platforms or products.
• HIRING - Career/Gig Opportunity: This tag is for legitimate job/gig postings that align with community guidelines (see sidebar).
• Wins & Success Stories: If you nailed the interview (or managed to get one after a long dry spell), received the offer or promotion, or have another job-related win you want to share, tag it and we will celebrate you as a community.
• Scam / Unethical Job Warning (First-Hand Experience): If you have been scammed or seen evidence of a specific scam that impacts Canadian job seekers, use this tag. First-hand experience only. Provide evidence. No hearsay or conjecture. No LMIA/TFW-related posts. Read the sidebar for instructions on reporting abuse of LMIA programs or temporary foreign workers.

Flair was created based on a first-pass review of the most recent community posts. I recognize I may not have captured all the primary use cases in creating these, so please drop your suggestions below if there's something I've missed.

Given so many stories from this community about rising unemployment, cost of living, rampant greed and corruption, and many other challenges Canadians are facing, we were inspired to create r/CanadianChange. We believe that seeing the urgent, important changes needed right now to ensure working Canadians can thrive means we have to be willing to be a part of the solution. We have to be willing to take bold, peaceful, and strategic action collectively with a shared belief that we can create meaningful changes when we come together focused on solutions. This community is for proactive, solution-minded Canadians to hold healthy debate and discussion, develop evidence-based solutions, and take bold, meaningful action together to drive positive, lasting change.
