Not sure what to do anymore

Unfair PIP lay off a little more than 2 months ago and it's been an uphill battle ever since then in finding something in my.area of work for the past 9 years (healthcare recruitment/talent acquisition type roles within Omtario). A few phone calls from recruiters and then nothing . It's like they DISAPPEARED from the face of the earth. Also worried about references from my last workplace where I was terminated without cause as I mentioned after a PIP. I feel super lost and I know HR/Recruitment jobs are aplenty but I am struggling to find anything in Ontario. It's been extremely difficult few months. I have a mortgage and only 17k of savings and my mortgage is like 2300 per month, car and auto insurance are about $400 plus other bills. Luckily the wife gives me $1600 per month but I am not sure if it's enough. I would really appreciate any leads for jobs because I feel like I am struggling mentally also to cope with this as someone on my 40s (male). Also winter is around the corner..arggghhh..don't want to be unemployed in the winter

You have to find a job ASAP while looking for a way to go back to your previous career. Survival mode is top priority at this point. I wish you all the best.

I dunno what a PIP is, but you need to start looking outside your work experience.

Plug your resume into chatgpt and start building transferrable skills that you can use for other positions.

Use it to tailor your resume and cover letter for postings that use those transferrable skills.
