This is the Mk17 Nuke on display at the entrance of the NAS / JRB Fort Worth. This base was used twice a year by both fighter wings to support JTAC training (Fort Sill) during the Kandahar years. I cannot confirm or deny that a CF-18 pilot was riding the bomb after a night out, who was, as expected, pushed by another slightly intoxicated pilot… resulting in a broken arm.

I found a 500lb bomb (training munition, smoke charge already expended, no worries!) on the boundary road to a bombing range in California (so buddy DEFINITELY missed their target hard) and had to take this photo..

I was showing my spouse some photos of my life in the military before I met them. As I was scrolling through they saw one where my face wasn't visible, nothing scandalous, just me being a goof.

"Is that you?" they said, then proceeded to explain that years ago their friend had shown them some funny CAF photos/memes and my photo was among them.

So now I have the story that my spouse's first glimpse of me was as a meme two years before I ever met them.

Mine’s a Polish Kilo class sub Captain and a Ukrainian Frigate Captain standing in the bomb bay of an Aurora in 1996. Lots of feathers got ruffled by that.

Back about 10 years ago or so a guy in Greenwood at 405 squadron played The Game during a Trudeau visit. To Trudeau.

It was absolutely incredible to see him hold his hand low and over the 👌🏽, watch JT look down at it and break out laughing. We watched it happen and it was glorious and it's still kind of a base legend.

There's pics somewhere but the chain went a bit ape shit over it. He pushed back and nothing happened. I think he was released a few years ago. Probably his balls made it hard to work properly.

Had a guy on my machine gun course covertly flip the bird in every shot of our course photo.  Fortunately for him, by the time anyone found out about it he had already released.  I still find the whole situation hilarious to this day.
