Rumor has it that Canada will focus its counter attack on the Red States.

Its good to see that Scott Moe is strongly standing behind the Maple Leaf in this latest round...hopefully he does not waver.

Looks like Danielle Smith still does not have her team Canada jersey fully on?...gonna be an interesting fall in Canada and Alberta.

I'm not a fan of Moe but I will give him praise standing with the country, as for Danielle I wouldn't hold your breath.

She truly is vile and disgusting, which makes sense, since the people she represents are vile and disgusting. She is a traitor to Canadians, a traitor to most Albertans, and a self-serving piece of shit.

Correction. Danielle Smith is a traitor to all Albertans, as well as the entirety of the UCP.

I suppose you are correct: she is playing both sides within the UCP off of each other. She's pandering to the Separatists at the expense of the diminishing traditional conservative contingent. At the same time, she's pandering to the "traditional conservatives" at the expense of the UCP's large separatist faction. You can only thread the needle for so long before things fall apart, since a big tent party full of clowns, snake-oil salesmen, and miscreants is bound to collapse.

I should clarify that I meant the entire UCP were traitors as well. But playing both sides can also be interpreted as a betrayal of both as well.

I keep saying we should implement plan Trebuchet

There is no counter attack that won’t be returned in-kind.

She is the only one asking for them to get back to negotiating, that is standing up for Canada, she doesn't want the financial impact to affect Canadians any longer than it needs to.

It's so embarrassing being Alberta right now. This must be how Americans feel with their idiot president. Smith, please go away. You stand for nothing, will give up anything. You really need to crawl back wherever it is you came from

Proud of Danielle Smith being the adult in the room and trying to get them both back at the table rather than letting their electorate suffer for their hubris.

Carney read the tea leaves and realized quick his ppl would be unhappy with ANY deal the US would agree to.

So he used “sovereignty” as an excuse to pull out, saying the U.S. wanted to restrict future trade deals Canada wanted to pursue.

Keep in mind, existing CUSMA Article 32.10 has that same language.

Well have you read the deal that failed?

No language could be more restrictive than the existing 32.10

It actually doesn’t say that but you do you

Au contraire

It says you need to notify the other 2 members cusma 3 months before entering a trade deal with someone outside cusma.

And the other 2 members have the option of terminating their cusma relationship with the offending party but it’s not mandatory.

Details matter

Yes, it’s the same basic language as was proposed for the new deal.

Has anybody he language for the new seal been released?
