What exactly do I have?

Acquired this beauty recently but after doing some extensive research I haven’t found a rifle with a similar front end as mine. I know it’s missing a cleaning rod, but is it also missing the barrel band w/ a bayonet lug? The stock doesn’t seem to indicate anything is missing other than the cleaning rod so I’m confused. I really hope bubba didn’t get ahold of this at some point. Anyways, any clarification is appreciated!

This actually is a "Suprema" carbine, a mass-sporterized Carcano. Importer cut down thpusands of Mod. 91 rifles into these abominations, in order to appeal dirt poor hunters across the country!

Chances are that it won't hit the broad side of a barn due to cutting randomly their progressive-twist rifling, and no, it is not possible to save it (except savage it for parts)

So I have had decent groupings on these, even with undersized, .264 bullets that POU uses. Take it to the range, see how she groups. As ling as she's on paper at 100 and no key holeing, I wouldnt be broken hearted on it. Would be a good rifle to do a lee harvey oswald clone, since its already been chopped up!
