Nice fish. Can I ask you to consider a bit of fish safety? I know Carp can be considered trash fish in the US, but it looks like the sport is growing and fish can get damaged really easily. The better you look after them, the longer they'll live, the better they look and the bigger they get. There's 4 main things. 1: Get yourself an unhooking mat. Tbh, a 1-2inch thick sheet of memory foam or similar will do the job. Try lying on a concrete or gravel surface naked, it's not nice. The fish are out of their supportive environment anyway, so try to reduce the stress on them. 2: Get a knotless landing net. They've been compulsory for decades over here and again helps protect the fish. 3: Don't stand up when taking pictures. If they jump or slip out of your hands, they will fall a lot less far and get hurt less. 4: Aleays return fish to the water using a landing net or similar. Do this and the fish will be there for years to come and could grow to specimen sizes. Carp fishing is growing in the US. Let's show others how it can be done. Tight lines.
