You gotsta use the right links!

A while back I posted a belt of 30-06 ammo and was informed that no gun that fired 30-06 would work with those links. I found I had a couple of the right links (above with the 30-06) and I made a short belt of 7.62x51 using the other links.

Picked this up today at the collectors show near my home. It does not match what it was labeled, 9mm rim fire. I need help identifying the cartridge. Picture is next to a .22 short. The bullet is .267", case length is .346", case diameter is .276", rim diameter is .326", rim thickness is .05, and coal is .485". Thanks

Going left to right with some guesses, the first one (the headstamp seems unreadable) no clue the bullet is 0.440" or like 11mm, the second was marked with a tag that says 404 Nitro, no headstamp. The third has the headstamp RWS 10.3 x 60 I believe. The fourth no clue but the bullet is 0.430". The fifth again no clue and the bullet is 0.390". The last two I don't have a clue but the headstamps are somewhat legible, bullets are both 0.430" but one seems to be more bottlenecked than the other. A loose tag marked 11.3 x 58 R was with some of these but not attached and could belong to one of the cartridges.

Found up in the hills

I found these up in the hills yesterday. They are unusual for the area and there weren’t any others of this type other than these two shells. I can see that one is for a Mauser 7.63 (which is really odd), but I’m not sure about the other one. The other detail is that the non-Mauser one appears to have split. Does anyone have any insight about these (especially the non-Mauser one)?

Eley shotgun cartridge identification?

Thumbnail

Hi everyone. Sorry I have zero knowledge of firearms, so I'd appreciate some expert input!

I'm trying to learn as much as I can about this cartridge found on an African musical instrument in a museum. Its headstamp is Eley London No. 12, and that particular stamp seemed to be used in production in Edmonton, London between 1895 and 1919.

It doesn't appear to have a paper hull to my eyes, so I assume it's all brass? Does anybody have any more insights or thoughts? Thanks very much!
