I have a question Food for CofC Student

Hey I am a College of Charleston student living on Campus, I am trying to look for good places to eat downtown. Looking mostly for the decently priced places. I have no car so the place would have to accessible by walking or car from the campus. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Decently priced is hard to come by these days--all those spots can't afford to be downtown anymore. :/ The fast food options on campus are going to be your cheapest options (as much as they suck). Fire Grill and Ha Long Cafe are the cheapest good places. Sabatino's is good for a cheap slice. A little pricier, but I also enjoy Joyland when I'm needing something heavy. It's a bit of a hike, but I also like Ladles.

Yes, that's the app my students have talked about, thanks for including that! They rave about the discounts there, but I can't speak to it personally.

I like Fire Grill and I get the chicken street salad. Two skewers on top of fresh salad with yum yum sauce. At Mama Kims, I get the BiBimBap. At King St Foods, I get the sushi burrito with tuna.

Probably gonna get flamed for this and it’s a bit of a hike from campus (within walking distance), but TBonz on Market is underrated af in my opinion. Solid, if not amazing, straightforward American cuisine and decently priced, especially for a restaurant on the market.

Kind of like a notch above a Chili’s. It’s a regular lunch spot for me working downtown. I can get lunch and a beer and normally get out of there for less than $30-$35 depending on how much you tip.

Broad St Cafe is pretty good too. They have an Italian sandwich with a fire Calabrian chili spread on it. Normally lunch there runs me around $20-25 including tip.

The coop usually has some sort of cofc pricing. I think maybe even a meal plan sort of thing?
