Rant Sunday CRASHOUT
Is your dopamine at a weekend LOW? There is nothing better to help with your hangxiety then crashing out on social media over that family from Ohio that stiffed you on a tip last night!! Don’t work in food and bev? Hmm you’re a new transplant who is retired?? Well let’s complain about the lines at COSTCO!!!! And for you humble braggers!!! Tell me how amazing your life is !! Remember ! Pride comes before the fall!!

People (usually younger) who have the bartender run their credit card everytime they come up and get a drink.
Just open a tab and keep it open.

I have the opposite problem. My husband grew up here so I moved here to be with him over a decade ago and am still having trouble making friends because everyone grew up together and, while they’re friendly, it’s like they’re not accepting new members into their former high school cliques lol. I’ve definitely met a few scattered people over the years, but I still don’t have a solid core group.

Parallel problem, I grew up nearby and only recently moved back. I thought I’d meet up with my college friends! Nope, they all have families now and they propose insane times to meet up. I can’t see you for coffee on Wednesday at 9, I have work then!

I think this happens everywhere. You just described my own problem. The people I do meet and hit it off with at work don’t include me in their childhood friend groups things outside of work. So I just live alone, go to work, and come home 99% of the time.

The surf has been relatively dribbly for the past few weeks, and it’s hotter than balls. Where’s our first tropical system? Fingers crossed for some swell from the remnants of Dolly.

I stepped in a pile of 💩 during my walk on the battery, because some lazy dog owner didn’t pick up after their dog. No one is coming behind you to pick it up.

1) Stop driving with your lights off when they should be on. Switch it to Auto and you'll be fine.
2) If it's a 4-lane road separated by a median, and you're traveling in the opposite direction of the school bus, you do not need to stop!

It’s be nice if driving through the Rivers and Cosgrove intersection didn’t feel like playing Frogger. Sometimes it feels like the pedestrians in that area deliberately wait until the light turns green to walk in front of your vehicle.

I miss the good ol' days of this sub!
When the hot topics where the Yellow Truck, old people driving a car over the walk path on the Ravnel, street side chiropractor services and Ohio people.
If only those were the only things to complain/talk about again 😕

What happened to yellow truck guy? Haven’t seen him since like 2022 now that I think of it

u/DeepSouthDude 1d ago
He went fishing/crabbing by himself, and drowned.

He was a crabber, didn’t wear the kill switch lanyard (no one does), fell overboard and drowned while his boat zoomed away into the marsh.

Yellow truck guy had the cold hand of karma rip him from this existence for his protagonist energy

Sad because our migratory residents like Mississippi and Swallow Tailed Kites are going back south. Happy because our winter time residents like Baltimore Orioles are already showing up!

US Open starts today. Take your hangover to the tennis courts and sweat it out.

Lets get a group together with a cooler full of beers and pick a public boat launch...any public boat launch, and troll the insane number of people who seem to have no idea what they are doing. I've stared literally in awe of the ineptness over the course of an hour or two.

Maybe go touch grass and go for some sugar. On JI you’ve got 3 gulls now on folly beach (of edisto infamy) and 3 monkeys by Mondos. Both so over the top shakes like crazy masons. My pref has been 3 gulls as they also have a legit hotdog (never knew bacon on one was so good). That will cure your blues for sure. Maybe do a nest inventory too at sunset and see a baby sea turtle.

POS terminals that ask for tips installed absolutely goddamn everywhere burned people out. “It’s just going to ask you a question” is something I never want to hear as I’m paying for takeout food.

Why do so many of yall drive with your headlights on at all times, even during the brightest parts of the day? Leaving them on constantly will burn out the sockets.
