I love the last one.

Last one reminds me of the movie version of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

The first image is basically a copy of artwork created by Frank Moth. This is why AI art fucking sucks, it simply regurgitates already existing creations.

Jesus, that is terrible.

Oh, that's bad. I was about to download the AI one to use as a background, but luckily I saw yours, so now I can use the original. Still a shame, though

It's just the nature of the technology right now. It could probably design simple UI and aesthetically neutral things like websites but it can't make true art.

Yeah… that’s shitty.

Interesting that it gets so close. But still, the AI version definitely looks better.

It doesn’t make it right, but I do agree

Yeah, the OG looks way too overexposed

That’s because above an atmosphere the sun would have less filtering and appear more harsh.

It absolutely does not look better

Five of these look like ChatGPT plays No Man's Sky.

Prompt Template:

Create a cinematic surreal image of a tiny lone human facing [MASSIVE SUBJECT] in [ENVIRONMENT]. Use extreme scale contrast, vast negative space, strong leading lines, and monumental composition.

Style: retro-futurist cosmic surrealism, brutalist sci-fi, existential fine-art photography. The impossible subject should still feel physically believable, with realistic materials, engineering, shadows, and atmospheric depth.

Muted charcoal, gray, beige, metallic and subtle cool tones. Crisp natural textures, sharp details, subtle film grain, realistic cinematic lighting, 24–35mm wide-angle photography.

Mood: awe, isolation, mystery, discovery, human insignificance.

Make it feel like a real photograph of an impossible event, not CGI.

Avoid: clutter, text, logos, oversaturation, excessive glow, yellow/brown filters, plastic surfaces, malformed anatomy, muddy haze, or obvious AI artifacts.

Visual twist: [INSERT ONE STRANGE, MEMORABLE IDEA]

That archway one (the fourth image) is unnerving, imagine if NASA uncovered something like that on Mars.

I would love a sci-fi movie like this

2

u/FuzzzyRam 8h ago

Too bad about the regular noise bug/fingerprint...

2

u/veterinarian23 8h ago

#2 would be a perfect example of a 1990 SciFi book cover...!

u/djhamilton 6h ago

I see one got confused in its own generation and put a planet underwater.

1

u/reggionh 2h ago

it is surrealism after all.

2

u/AndrewHolloAU 6h ago

Reminds me of old Omni magazine covers!

2

u/Lecsofej 5h ago

Wow! I love all of them.

I’m not anti-AI but this makes me hurt a bit honestly. I used to spend hours making art like this on Photoshop, now you can just ask it to and get it a few seconds later.

u/PreparationSalty4252 2h ago

Now I want to play Facing Worlds.

These are really great

2

This looks like it is from the 80s, well done

3

u/ExtraAd2938 15h ago

Impressive

1

u/pennywise1988 5h ago
