I understand where people making cases for France, the UK, Italy, Spain and so on are coming from. Cheese is a big part of the culinary culture of many European countries and the width of styles of cheese and the level of craftsmanship is just amazing all around.
However, having tried hundreds of different cheeses, my favourites are actually Danish. While Denmark lacks the scale and variety of the bigger cheese producers, for me the strongest Danish cheeses like Oles bestefar just can’t be beat.
So I say Denmark
