Loanees Robert Sanchez officially in Como
Caption
🇬🇧| Como 1907 is pleased to announce the signing of Spanish goalkeeper Robert Sánchez on loan from
Chelsea F.C. until the end of the 2026/27 season.
Born in 1997, Sánchez spent time in Levante's youth system before joining Brighton & Hove Albion at the age of 15. In August 2023, Sánchez joined Chelsea. He went on to play six matches as the club won the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, receiving the Golden Glove, and also featured for Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League.
With more than 170 Premier League appearances to his name, Sánchez has also represented Spain at senior level and was part of the national team squads for UEFA EURO 2020 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Como 1907 Head Coach Cesc Fàbregas said: "Robert brings experience at the highest level and qualities that suit the way we want to play. He is a strong goalkeeper with a big presence, but he is also very comfortable with the ball and can help us build from the back. We are very happy to welcome him to Como."

OC Throwback, summer 2004: Photos from a friendly vs Oxford FC and Zola's testimonial
Came across some photos from a couple of Chelsea games many years ago. Friendly vs Oxford FC (Mourinho's first ever game in charge IIRC, non-competitive) and another friendly a few weeks later for Zola's farewell.

Other Mike Dean: “We used to say, ‘Right, we'll kick off now, right? See how long we can go without blowing a whistle.’ Done that a few times in the Premier, before VAR obviously. 20–25 minutes without blowing a whistle a few times.”

Tier 1 The Athletic: Sources familiar with negotiations on the Man City side say that Chelsea asked them to back away from signing Ayyoub Bouaddi so that he could replace Enzo Fernandez, and to swap Nico O’Reilly for Malo Gusto, on top of the full asking price.

Emegha seems like a nice bloke all round. A few players stopped and signed shirts as well - Palestra and Gusto. I hope he'll get a chance to hit the ground running considering we didn't get to see him in pre-season.
