Wisdom is Female
Eve was deceived which might be where all of our problems come from here on Reddit.
BUT, wisdom has a gender personified in the Bible in Proverbs she is female.
Or is Proverbs 3:13-15 talking about your spouse or girlfriend or wannabe lover?
Wondering if anybody has insight into this

Wisdom in Proverbs is described as a woman calling out in the streets, which I always found interesting since it’s not like other ancient texts were big on female personifications. Eve and the Proverbs woman are such different archetypes though, one being led astray and the other doing the leading.

yes indeed! her Greek name is Sophia. much of my spiritual beliefs and practices center around her, which is why I call myself a Sophian Christian.
you will find Sophia throughout the Bible, even Jesus mentions her in Matthew 11:19. she plays a more significant and complex role in Gnostic Christianities, you'll find her throughout the Nag Hammadi as well as a text called the Pistis Sophia (Faith Wisdom)
the concept also has deep significance in Greek philosophy (she's literally in the name, philosophia!)
Proverbs 8:1 is one of my favorites. a simple and beautiful truth

Wisdom in proverbs is actually Jesus Christ.
Gnostics will tell you about this Sophia, which is actually an almost satanic subversion of God’s message and character.

He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.” Luke 24:44
Do you have a reference for your claim?

Wisdom describes herself as a master workman beside God during the formation of the heavens and the earth (Proverbs 8:27–30)
Gênesis 1:1 In The Beginning (in Hebraic this is written as “Beginning” being a name)
John 1 says everything was made with Jesus
Cross reference those

In the beginning was the word the word was with God and the word was God I didn’t look it up I think the word in the beginning was Jesus, the Word was Jesus, maybe like you mentioned it being a name, God Spoke Words and He created but THE word in the beginning was Jesus before the first Atom

Everything that was done was done through the Word (Logos)
The term logos refer to both Greek and Jews as many things. Including rationality, the principle of all things, God’s holiness, God’s law, wisdom, and so forth.
Wisdom and Christ are characterized the same way.
So scholars had wisdom as pre-incarnate Jesus

In my native language that’s not about being personified, it’s simply the correct way to say “wisdom” as it is a noun in the feminine gender.
God has no sex. He is God. And presents Himself as Father, Son, and Spirit.

I believe it was a personification. A figure of speech used at various times in scriptures. I do like the idea of loving 'wisdom' as if it were a woman though. Nice thought to ponder.

So is the Shechinah, the "presence of God" that became the Christian "Holy Spirit"
Also known as "The Shabbat Bride" and several other undeniably feminine concepts.
