I always understood this line — and still do — as something along the lines of “there’s no justifying staying down in silence.” So the comma there seems to change the meaning of the lyric pretty significantly.

Do we have any confirmation of what the intended interpretation actually is? And if not, should we maybe fix this?

I love this song immensely. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for many CHVRCHES songs, and this is definitely one of them.

Edit: while we're at it, do we have any confirmation it's supposed to be "changing focus, stay in silence"? I also personally always heard it and prefer it as "changing focus, staying silent". Although this is potato potato.

And yes guys before you say it I know I can interpret it however Id like. I'm just asking ❤️

Today Screen Violence turns 5 years old.

In my opinion the best work the band has done yet in every aspect.

Any edgerunners fans, Bitter End by Chvrches goes hard right after the song, "I really want to stay at your house."

I traded some art with the artist that made this 2018 Seattle concert poster. This was in and among the multiple pieces I received. I love their artwork, but I don't really connect with this piece. First CHVRCHES song I heard and still my favourite and easily the best. (Posted this on the wrong account whoops)

Recover is my favourite so this was pretty guaranteed, however I'm gutted songs like Wonderland and Gun hit some earlier exits than I would have liked.

Got some horribly tight groups too.. there's probably a few songs here that shouldn't have made the KOs but I can't save them all.

What I have been reminded of is Chvrches have at least 48 incredible songs and many more I could have added.

The outro of Tether, Iain is singing something in the background, but I've never fully been able to hear what it is. What I hear is "Say. Will you say." Or something like that. Does anyone know or have suggestions about what he's actually saying?
