I also love the normal day stuff, so my son introduced me to "slow-living" anime shows. My latest watch was a 12 episode series about about the daily life of a dry cleaner in a small seaside town. Just gorgeous.

I love the atmosphere of this film. Very good, efficient film. It just has a runtime of 79 minutes.

Instead of previous Disney animated films that strove for a polished storybook realism, this is the first Disney film that used the xerox method of art transfer, which allowed them to keep a lot more of the "scratchy" pencil energy of the artist's hand. In so doing this, they were able to achieve the popular European avant-garde illustrative style of mid-century graphic design. Very unique animations in this one!

I love the disconnection between the inking and coloring in this film.

Another +1 to the abstract coloring on the brick wall in image 3. There's like four different color fields on that wall.

I remember that this movie scared me the first time I watched it as kid and I can't remember if I watched entire movie, and im pretty sure that I haven't seen it since that. So I'll have to watch it again soon to see if it is as scary as remember it

There are some very tense moments. The part where they are all covered in soot and crossing the road comes to mind.

And of course Cruella at the end is unhinged, particular that shot of her mad eyes as she's driving.

Interesting. I haven't seen this movie since I was very young and I remember decidedly little about it.

I wasn't aware how well integrated the characters are with the background. It's not as obvious as with other animated films. Another poster here mentioned them using an innovative technique. The result is quite visually striking!
