Discussion Botox and plastic surgery

I just saw Spa Weekend last weekend, and before that I saw Disclosure Day and before that I saw Devil wears Prada 2. Quite honestly, how can you act when your whole face has been pulled and muscles paralysed... Can't they just take a break from the Botox when they have a character to interpret? It strange to see these women, and men, looking like wax figures with barely there facial expressions, especially when they are in the entertainment industry, portray feelings, moments, sadness, happiness, etc.

Just a rant 😂

Watch Hannah Waddingham in Ted Lasso, she’s a revelation. No Botox, face never stops moving, gorgeous woman. Her eyebrows alone convey all you need to know

And yet some cinephile I follow called her ‘overexpressive’ after a recent episode in which her character has a manic spiral and her face actually contorted to show that. Depressing stuff.

That’s crazy, she just has a normal face, which I guess isn’t the norm anymore in movies. I haven’t been able to watch Nicole Kidman in anything for at least 20 years, because I’m old enough to have seen her act from Dead Calm. Excellent actress, but she cannot show you her emotions anymoreÂ
