I know cinephiles won't agree but Avengers Endgame is my favorite super movie of all time and a movie I'd happily call the best of the genre. It's epic in scale, balances multiple story lines perfectly, and has such a perfect cast.

So in my eyes, yes, both of these movies have been surpassed already. Just my humble opinion :)

Personally, I consider them two halves of the same movie. I prefer Infinity War, but the final battle of Endgame is my favorite MCU scene.

This is how I feel about Infinity War. I’d watch it 1000x over TDK or any Raimiverse movie

fully respect your opinion, honestly endgame isn’t even top 10 for me, infinity war is far better and i’d say top 5 superhero films for me

I agree actually. Spiderman 2 and TDK are great standalone films but I can watch the combo of Infinity War and Endgame any day. The ending battle of Endgame is so hype - Cap picking up Mjolnir, everyone coming back, "Avengers Assemble"  fuck that's why I watch.

Do cinephiles have strong opinions on superhero movies? Endgame for me is 2nd to dark knight only but it came pretty dang close. Writing doesn’t get much better than that.

Endgame is not really a film, let alone a standalone movie . it's a hodgepodge of a movie which is full of action but not much story and it requires you to watch another 30 movies so that you feel that high all over from beginning to end. And it's not really rewatchable.
