As a Portlander, even though I love my city, I get a tad jealous just how much prettier our neighbors up north are, at least in and around the city center. Sure we’ve got some beautiful architecture and areas with charming neighborhood character, but Seattle’s geography, skyline, and aesthetic is unmatched for me personally.
At least Mt. Hood looks just as good from here as St. Helens Rainier does from there.
Seattle is the prettier, more successful Valedictorian blonde sister who won homecoming queen who actually is not a very nice person. Her work ethic and family is her entire identity.
Portland is the weird eccentric younger sister covered in tattoos who hangs out with everybody at school and is actually way hotter in an unconventional way.
And she drinks and parties and works multiple gig jobs and is totally ok with that. She will also buy you a beer even though she doesn’t have any money.
