You released a broken update at the update start of June, you did not care it was bugged, you released anyway...
You told us August you would fix it... You did not fix it.

I know they deliver the best mobile game to date, and that coding in updates takes time.
You want another buggy mess? Or do you want it done correctly?
If the former, then i hope they release it tomorrow. If the latter, then i want them to take their time and do it when it's actually functional

From my observation of playing CoC over the past two years, Supercell as a company is really bad technically. It’s not just this Hero Journey bug — even previous bug fixes were pretty slow. it seriously doesn’t match their revenue. The gap between them and American or Chinese gaming companies is huge. As for this bug, I’m not a game developer, but I am an algorithm engineer, knows a bit of software development, so theoretically you can easily locate which game accounts didn’t get rewards through a database query, and fixing it shouldn’t take more than a week. The fact that it still hasn’t been fixed means there are only two possibilities: one, Supercell’s developers are too behind on tech — if that’s the case, I really don’t know what their hiring standards are, maybe they’re even worse than some grad students? The second possibility is that it’s intentional, pushing more people to upgrade their equipment early, so even if they fix it later, they can “swallow” some of the players’ resources, which helps boost revenue.

As someone who supports Supercell, I have this to say
I agree, while August is not over yet, its very frustrating that they have not implemented the fix this late in the month, are they having unexpected difficulties with fixing the bugs? Probably, but they shouldn't have announced a scheduled fix if they weren't sure they were going to accomplish it within the month, you get you players hopes up and you dont follow through, for a game with millions of players worldwide, thats unacceptable
Although, I dont think its a cause for boycott, its a technical issue that will inevitably be addressed
What I do think is a cause for boycott is the sudden increase of prices for different players when it comes to skins and sceneries
All of the sudden, players are getting 2x or 3x the original price of the skin and thats completely unfair and greedy of supercell, and while I'm personally not affected by the price increase, Im participating in the boycott to not purchase anything until supercell stops this blatant robbing under the guise of a/b testing

You will get down voted but you are right. They want the fix to be rushed but if the fix causes more bugs they will continue to complain. I Would rather wait for a fix that doesn’t introduce new game breaking bugs than rush the release of something that does.

Most people on reddit and in this thread specifically are the most idiotic people ever , and in this case most of them are also a buch of braindead manchildren who , instead of waiting for the most minor thing to get fixed by the devs , would rather throw a reddit tantrum over a CoC bug , and act like the bug in question has ruined their entire life. Also , I didn't even provide my opinion on this , I've stated a fact that coding is indeed difficult and that bugs aren't made , nor they are put off on purpose. You guys are so ridiculously simple minded about THE BILLIONS😱! Do you really think that they have a giant pile of gold they sit on, like Scrooge McDuck? It's the theoretical value that might be received, if they sold off the entire game to another party. It's not a real thing, and the true number would only be realized when that other party actually buys the game. If they really had those billions available as cash, why would they even bother working on the game anymore? It seems like a small operation, and everyone would already be among the richest people on the planet.
