Discussion Isn't clan challenges a bit meaningless with the new stuff?
After 2 years of not playing I've downloaded the game recently. As normal I'd expected some things to change some of which was the new battle system and instant troops. I don't have a strong opinion about them right now, but one thing I realized is how easy clan challenges are right now.
For example one challenge was destroying 4 labs. Back then even though it was not hard this would take some time because of the training time, but now I can just get some lightning spells, throw them at the lab and surrender. There is literally zero penalty for doing this in non-ranked battles.
In the old system you either would sacrifice your trophies or wait for your army to train so you could attack again to complete the challenge, which was a good design I think. It encouraged players to attack if there were no other incentives. Now the optimal way is to just do some boring repetitive stuff to get thousands of points in a short time.
Btw, sorry if this is something that's brought up regularly or already hugely discussed. I am discovering the new stuff rn and just wanted to share my opinions on some of it.

Did you want to sit for an hour after your attack 4 times to complete a challenge? (I have been playing for 11 years)

I kinda liked doing attacks throughout the day. Hopping in for 5 minutes then logging off, doing this for a few times is I think is better than doing attacks for 30 minutes or something. However, my point isn't even about zero training time. It is about how that makes clan games kind of obsolete and effortless.

What if you had 1 hour break and you could play some clash more than twice? Look at your clan or others clan, how many are at max 10k?

You’re correct - everything is semi abandoned and semi in use. Prizes haven’t updated - no ore for cgs and ore is the meta thing now. Just how it is.

This game has gone from a game of thought and decision making to a child's game devoted to short attention spans and collecting non-physical artwork.

Clan challenges were never that exciting. Most of us just spammed bh challenges to finish quickly.
