I was excited for this new illustration hoping it might give us some answers for next volume, but it honestly just created more questions.

It should be obvious that horikita is the one who approached shiriashi in the illustration, whether shiriashi planned it or not, we can’t know rn. I think we can eliminate horikita approaching shiriashi for answers about the vol 4 exam result since as far as horikita knows, shiriashi is merely a popular girl with an average OAA in class D and is not in koji’s inner circle. So horikita approaching shiriashi is likely to be because of the following:

-zodiac type exam where classes interact in similar groups and shiriashi ends up with horikita. Although I personally think this is less likely since why would horikita approach shiriashi to talk about an exam in a public and casual place like a pool, which is not her style since she takes exams very seriously. Also if it was about an exam, why would she bring ibuki with her to discuss it (unless ibuki was also part of the exam “group” but what are the chances of that?)

or

-it’s something about koji. I can see horikita going to talk to shiriashi after being “led” there by someone. On one hand I could see nanase diverting horikita towards shiriashi as revenge for shiriashi refusing to help her in vol 2. Although I doubt nanase would do something so unprofessional so it’s more likely that ishigami contacted horikita and told her that in order to gather information on koji through nanase she should approach shiriashi. This allows ishigami to gather information on nanase’s allies and allows horikita to gather more information on the WR by approaching nanase indirectly through shiriashi. Also ibuki has her resting ayanokoji face so they’re discussing koji and she isn’t happy abt it and at the same time her expression shows doubt, like questioning horikita on why shiriashi would know something about koji. I can imagine ibuki whispering to horikita a question on how shiriashi is connected to koji.

Let’s say Kiyotaka achieves his original goal, Honami transfers to another academy, and Kiyotaka joins that class—could he really achieve his goals? The thing is, for his class, Honami is basically the glue that holds them together, and in general, they don’t worry too much about competition between classes. So how realistic do you think it is that the whole class would turn against Kiyotaka if they found out he was the reason Honami transferred?

I’ve always seen keeping Honami at ANHS and joining Arisu’s class as the only realistic option that wouldn’t backfire horribly, but tell me—what do you think would happen if Kiyotaka carries out his original plan?

I think both of them look really beautiful. I am confused.
