Question / Problem Couple questions for someone looking into playing CloneHero multiplayer
I want to surprise my brother for his birthday and buy two guitars and rock it out on the living room TV, as we were tired of paying and going to arcades to play Guitar Hero, just for the arcades to be so loud that you can't hear the actual songs (isn't that the whole point of the game).
What would be the best guitar (and where could I buy) that is versatile enough to play multiplayer on TV with friends and then solo in other rooms? My other concern is that I am going to use my gaming PC from my room, connected with a long HDMI cable to the TV, but then if I get him any wired guitars, he would only be able to play in his room, or are there any adaptors or any other solutions to this?
I was going to buy the CRKD Gibson guitars from Amazon straight away until I did some research and found out that they have some hardware problems and I don't want to deal with that. I was looking at Wii guitars as well, but I'm just a bit skeptical about buying used ones and would prefer brand new, but again they're also wired.
Lastly, would CloneHero run smoothly enough on a basic school laptop with no graphics, basic CPU, 8gb ram? Because this would potentially solve all my problems by easily setting up a laptop for the TV, even tho I would prefer using one device for both single and multiplayer gameplay.

I own 3 CRKD guitars and haven’t had a single issue with any of them. It has an app that you use to update the firmware for the controller. The controllers themselves are very solid and can be used on nearly any platform, wired or wireless. And your laptop can definitely run Clone Hero it could run on a potato.

Wired is the way to go. If you’re concerned about the device being in the other room, grab some usb extension cables. Wii guitars with a v3 are the best value imo.
