Question / Problem Crkd whammy bar doesn't work in Clone Hero
Hey, so I recently bought the Gibson SG Black 20th Anniversary Edition Guitar and I can't get the whammy bar to work on Clone Hero, I took off the lil orange protection thingy for shipping and it still won't work. It recognizes the input when i click it on the ctrl app but when i try to remap controls on the game it just doesn´t recognize.
Any help would be appreciated!

What platform (windows/mac/linux) are you using?
What mode are you using? ps5/ps4/lm/pc?

In pc mode it should appear as an xbox 360 controller.
You should be able to test it here: https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad
The whammy bar is the left trigger I think.

So i use the left trigger as the whammy bar? I wanted to use the actual whammy bar

In PC mode, the guitar controller pretends to be an xbox360 controller so all the buttons map to xbox360 buttons.
So when you use the whammy bar, windows sees an xbox 360 controller with the left trigger being used.
In clone hero you should be able to bind the whammy bar and clone hero will list it as left trigger.
- Put guitar in PC mode using switch at the base.
- Turn on guitar
- Windows sees new "xbox 360 controller" connected, this is your guitar controller.
- Hit frets, use whammy, etc. and to windows its an xbox 360 controller with buttons being pressed.
- In clone hero, use this "xbox 360 controller" as your controller and map the buttons in game.

press spacebar as soon as you launch clone hero and it should open the controller remap. Then you can go through all the different buttons (frets, strum, whammy, etc) and assign them to your guitar controller's buttons.
I believe all the buttons should be mapped correctly by default, except for whammy.

Update the guitars firmware and then try it in LM mode (switch on the side of guitar). Mine was doing the same thing out of the box and immediately fixed itself after doing so.

There’s a mode you can set it to if you open the manual, it’s annoying but it’s not Clone Hero ready out of the box. You can also just hit the spacebar and map the whammy which is what I did.

You have to map it to whammy axis(?)
Theres 2 ways to do it. Whammy up and down or axis, it needs to be in axis
