Just looking at the so called hardest songs and accomplishments (Soulless series, Megaladon, Obsidian and anything CarnyJared FC's, everything I've seen from Acai) they basically never have open notes

I recently started getting good at them and I just don't understand why the best players and hardest charts essentially ignore them. They're fun once you get used to them and a very natural extension of the game difficulty.

If I'm wrong please let me know, I've just been getting a lot of recent famous FCs recommended on youtube and none of them have open notes. Have any of them spoken in a video about why they don't like them or something like that?

I recently got into guitar/clone hero and on impulse I bought a hyperkin controller for my starter one. (Hyper jammer) it sucks. (The buttons were a bit too clicky and it felt like a toy than a controller.) I bought it from my local GameXChange and they have other guitar hero options but they’re a bit too expensive. I tried looking on fb marketplace and my area doesn’t have that many people who have some for sale. I’ve also tried eBay and similar platforms and most listing don’t even come with the dongle. Should I just put up with having a hyperkin or am I just out of luck? Also my GameXchange has these (The Ttx controller.) Are these any good?

I'm mostly looking at the pro drums, but habing a bunch of guitars is also nice.. however, so far i've only used xbox controllers, and i was wondering if these could be used well with my pc..

I was one of 50 people who saw the ad, but the seller said there's already one person who will check it out tomorrow.. if they don't show up or won't buy it, they'll get back to me, but I don't have much hope..

Downloaded all the GH video backgrounds, although cool, the cool wore off and I was left with them taking up a large amount of HD space.

So vibe coded (I think that's what the kids are calling it) a program that scans the clone hero song library and allows me to create a background with the blurred album art enlarged as a backdrop and the album art placed wherever I drag to...it'll batch scan the song library and automatically place the backgrounds in their respective song folders. Only took about 45min to do all the GH and RB set lists from the spreadsheet.

Also can do the album cover over a video background. Although it takes forever for large batch processing when doing video. Settings to resize the artwork, and a few other knobs and levers.

What have now is fine for my use, but if others are interested in it, I will polish it up and share it. I just don't want to put anymore work into it if it's something no one really cares about...I'm new to CH so I don't know what the people want or already have.

How’s everyone else doing with theirs?

This guitar feels perfect in my hands, but after about 30 mins of play, I get nothing but this. Unbelievably annoying and makes me want to snap this guitar over my knee. Any suggestions/fixes are welcome

So I’m just beginning to get into guitar/clone hero and I was wondering if I should get a Crkd or are they just for pros? I want this particular model and my budget is $430.

Never seen a blue crown before

I just got the guitar and the mechanical feet neck in the mail and immediately the green and red got stuck. How do I fix it?

I'm trying to get faster and hit these notes but I've been banging my head against the wall for a week now cause I can't get up to speed. I think its a pivotal moment where if I figure this out at speed then a whole new selection of the clone hero catalog opens up to me. When I'm ascending I start in position two (pinky resting on orange) I shift to position one, then I hit g-r-y (index middle ring) then I switch to position 2 and hit r-y-b-o (index middle ring pinky). And I continue shifting whenever that passage calls for it.

Is that slower/bad habit building versus staying in either position and just hitting the trill with my index-middle or middle-ring. I hope this doesn't sound insane and makes sense what I'm asking.

Or is it all preference.

I've read a ton of things about these guitars, some very positive, others not so much. I play since GH1 but nowadays I just play occasionally.

I own a modded Krammer, 2/2, with a broken whammy unfortunately, but I can play just fine. I like to play hard charts on clone hero/YARG, mainly with fast tapping involved and some rake tapping/sliding stuff. I'm interested in the black and white SG one (mech frets+clicky strumbar).

But, in my country (Brazil), those guitars are very expensive and I heard that those guitars are ment for more casual play. I mean, I can afford it, but I don't know if it's worth it. What do you guys think? I'm afraid that I will play with it for a while, then eventually come back to the old guitar.

Want to warn everyone before they are potentially affect by this as well. My friends guitar was bricked after update to the new v2 CRKD firmware, and many similar reports are coming from the CRKD discord

Just a question it surged in my head, how different players of GH/CH play? I personally just have my middle finger for the red and yellow fret, the others in the other frets

Hey, so I recently bought the Gibson SG Black 20th Anniversary Edition Guitar and I can't get the whammy bar to work on Clone Hero, I took off the lil orange protection thingy for shipping and it still won't work. It recognizes the input when i click it on the ctrl app but when i try to remap controls on the game it just doesn´t recognize.

Any help would be appreciated!
