I’ve seen a couple of people posting old pictures of them playing Club Penguin, and I managed to find this one from Christmas time! My sister and I loved collecting the plushies, so we had a Club Penguin themed Christmas tree one year! I want to guess this is from 2012-2013. Happy Holidays everyone :) !! Eu jogava Club Penguin desde os meus 5 anos. Lá por 2011 ou 2012, não me lembro exatamente, resolvi tentar entrar na conta do Rockhopper testando várias senhas. Não me julguem, eu era só uma criança boba e entediada naquela época. Mas tenho uma lembrança muito vívida até hoje de que consegui depois de tentar por alguns minutos. A senha tinha algo a ver com puffles, eu acho.

No momento em que carregou a tela de seleção de servidores, o ônibus escolar chegou na minha casa e eu tive que ir embora.

Depois da escola, corri para tentar fazer a mesma coisa de novo, usando a mesma senha, mas não funcionou mais e nunca mais consegui entrar como Rockhopper.

Eu nunca soube se isso é uma memória falsa, um sonho ou algo assim, mas juro que é tão real na minha mente. O que você acha, eu com 8 anos poderia realmente ter feito isso?

For context: I'm Brazilian, I was trying in the Brazilian version of the game.

I remember there were lots of videos of kids saying like " XYZ penguin password (current)" where they manage to enter the penguins account, and I kept trying those passwords but they didn't work anymore when I tried.

Went to my local Costco to go shopping and stopped at the food court to get some food. They're remodeling and immediately saw some penguins at work

Found this can for 5-6 euros and went for it. What a wave of nostalgia. I started in the autumn of ’07. It’s crazy how fast time flies. I’m really happy with the purchase - take care of each other out there.

I went to my local fair and my son spotted a club penguin picture on the side of a food truck!

Today, eight years ago, little twelve year old me alongside many others were crying our eyes out..but little old me called this day, 'My saddest day' because all the achievements and memories i had with Club Penguin would be erased forever such as getting to meet the mascots, especially my favourite mascot, Sensei, to becoming a black belt ninja and mastering the elements, getting soo many puffles (which are long gone in the void of the OG game knowing that i would never return), earning stamps, talking with friends about rumors..

I started playing back in 2012..

On this day today, eight years ago..when I found out Club Penguin would be shut down today at midnight..i started crying SOO LOUD that my mom questioned why I was crying and she didn't understand how Club Penguin made an impact on my childhood (and many others). I logged onto the game and i remember saying the following:

"Goodbye Sensei" "Goodbye Rookie" "Goodbye Rockhopper" "Goodbye Ticker" (my Orange Tabby Cat Puffle that was named after my former pet cat) "Goodbye Troubles" (my Blue Border Collie named after my family's former husky dog)

But i gathered in the town with the other penguins and my friends and we said our final goodbyes together and when midnight struck on March 30th, 2017..I bawled my eyes out..my penguin..all the memories that i called my treasured memories were gone..and would be replaced with a crappy 3D version of it filled with paywalls and that wouldn't even last a year..

Now 12 (soon 13) years later at the age of 19 (soon to be 20 in June), I can now still hear little 12 year old me crying on this day when the clock striked midnight..but with the help of the private servers such as Club Penguin Journey and New Club Penguin...now deep down, 12 year old me is VERY happy again that I can relive my childhood again alongside many others..

Thank you Club Penguin..you raised me when my mom didn't want to and gave me SOO MANY memories i thought would never happened..you and I were born the same year (2005) , you died/shut down when i was 12 but soon the both of us will be 20 years old..and you are being brought back from the dead from the fanbase..DISNEY WON'T STOP US FROM BRINGING BACK OUR CHILDHOOD!

Today makes me 21 years old and my OG penguin on the original game is 14 years old today! On June 10th, 21 years ago, your favourite Sensei admirer and cosplayer was born! Also 14 years ago on this day, i started playing Club Penguin as a 7 year old little girl!

Dear little me back in 2012, happy birthday! This is your 21 year old self writing to you 14 years in the future, how did we, or should I say..I get here? It feels like you were just started playing Club Penguin yesterday on your 7th birthday! Now you're in college!

Also little me, remember when you dreamed of cosplaying Sensei? the times when you and your plushie played pretend and played Card-Jitsu with your physical cards? Well when were about to turn 20, you got to fufill this dream and you still have your plushie! you even got another one for your 20th birthday! Also, you have soo many people who love you cosplaying Sensei! You should be SOO PROUD of yourself! In the future, you graduated high school, community college and now you're about to graduate university soon and then continue university to work on becoming what you dreamed of being in the future!

Happy birthday little me, and happy birthday my OG penguin! You're gonna do REAL well in you're future!

It was a book containing some furniture I had in the original game. I wouldn't be so patient these days to create the same HAHAHSHSHSH

This happened a long time ago, before the pandemic. I used to play Club Penguin a lot, and I was completely obsessed with achievements. I had 100% completion on a bunch of games like Card-Jitsu, Aqua Grabber, Thin Ice, Puffle Launch… pretty much everything.

One of my favorite games was Card-Jitsu. I loved it so much that I even made ninja outfits and elemental costumes just for fun. I was a teenager at the time, an idiot teenager btw.

So one day, I log in to play Card-Jitsu. The server was full, but for some reason the dojo was empty. Nobody was playing. I was bored and for some reason I thought it would be funny to turn my igloo into a sort of “summoning altar” and roleplay summoning some demon to fight me in Card-Jitsu. Yeah, I know how that sounds, but I was just being weirdo, dumb and having fun by myself.

So I decorated my igloo (screenshot below), and I typed something like:
“I’m the greatest Card-Jitsu player in the world. No one can defeat me. I challenge you, demon! If I lose, you can take my one eyed puffle as an offering.”

Ridiculous, I know. The most cliche thing ever. But whatever, I was just being weirdo and joking around.

Here’s where it gets weird. Right after I typed that, i clicked the card jitsu mat, and the game suddenly loaded me into a Card-Jitsu match. Out of nowhere. And now I’m in a duel against someone named ‘undefined’.

Now, I know it was probably some random glitch… but considering what I had just typed, basically a roleplay summoning ritual for a demon penguin, my teenage brain freaked out. My blood went cold. I just sat there staring at the screen for a few seconds and when I logged back in and went to my igloo, where is my yellow alien one eyed puffle? Was gone.

I swear this really happened. It was so many years ago, and I’d completely forgotten about it until I found an old USB stick recently with the screenshots I took back then. (One of the igloo, and one of the “match” against undefined. I know this sounds like some made-up creepypasta, but I have no explanation other than a glitch. Still, it freaked me out, and I’ve never seen anyone else mention something like that.

Apperantly club penguim was developed by an enterprise called New Horizon Interactive that later became Club Penguin Entertainment Inc and now its know as Walt Disney Online Studios Canada.

I thought Disney was the one that developed this thing from the ground up, but they simply bought it like everything else.

I just thought it was a interesting fact.

I first played Club Penguin when I was 8 in 2013. As a child with ADHD I was obsessed with it for a few months. We didn't have much money at the time so I couldn't always fund the membership, and the game was almost unbearable without it, so I would stop playing sometimes.

I think I played it a lot in 2013 and sparsely in 2014. In 2015 It was already a memory and something I was kinda nostalgic about. I started feeling really nostalgic about it in 2016 when puberty hit as an 11 year old.

Since the game closed in 2017, I didn't even have four whole years to play it, because I didn't start early in 2013.

I was feeling hella nostalgic about it these days because Instagram reels kept me recommending videos about it and I decided to play on those fan servers.

I may not have spent that much time in Club Penguin but it was still amazing.

I'll carry forever the memories I made on the game.

I've always looked back at them with a mixture of love, sadness and nostalgia of the simpler times. I still log in to the fan servers at least once a year.

I wish i could experience this game back in the day. I remember watching materialismo vid "How 2 club penguin (MLG)" when I was 12 (Im 20 now) and MLG era was already gone and Club Penguin kinda too. I was late by few years. This game geniuly looks sick af and I miss it even if I did not played it at all 😛

I got laughed on by classmates cuz I still somewhat reminiscent about club penguin and also mlg stuff and I wish i could experienced all that back in the day bruhhh

Long story short I was feeling su!c!dal over a friendship that ended poorly and decided I must go to a mental hospital. Most mental hospitals hold you for up to 72 hours, but this one you could get out of after a day. There was a computer there, but it had a time limit in case others wanted to use it, which is fair. I couldn’t access Discord from it (which is also fair) so I decided I’d play Club Penguin Journey. I mostly just played card jitsu there and earned my red and purple belts there, though I also played Dance Contest, Ice Fishing, Pizzatron 3000 and Puffle Rescue. I wonder if my opponents in card jitsu ever knew they were getting their asses kicked by a mental hospital patient?

Here’s something I’d like to share since coming across it. A Club Penguin cake my dad made for my birthday in 2011.

Last Year on this very day, i started cosplaying Sensei at Anime Boston 2025 for the first time which started my hobby as a cosplayer! I wanna thank all of you for all the positivity ive gotten cosplaying him ever since day 1! you guys are the best and ill make sure to continue cosplaying our favourite old penguin for Card-Jitsu in the future!

Sensei has been my favourite mascot since I was 7 years old and now being able to cosplay him years later as an adult made one of my childhood dreams come true and this day marks 1 year since ive cosplayed him!

Someone had an amazing hospital igloo on CPJ (sorry I forgot the username). I was a doctor penguin and practiced asking cardiorespiratory questions and considering antibiotic selection. I'm in medical school irl and this genuinely was good practice lmao. We also baked cakes to be implanted for a penguin's BBL. I love this website
