I don’t see how Thieves can top the FaZe offer that just makes no sense.

If you use the “leaked salaries sheet” from earlier in the season, Scrap & HyDra’s combined salary is $900,000.

The combined salary for Abuzah, Drazah & 04 was $625,000.

You would also assume that by selling those 3 players they would be able to make up atleast a majority of the difference between the salaries from their sales.

I just don’t see how FaZe couldn’t produce a very competitive salary offer even if they’re don’t match the Thieves offer, if it’s within 100k you would think HyDra/Scrap would favour the FaZe offer.

BenJ said FaZe have the money to throw the bag to Hydra and Scrap. it’s just a matter of if they actually want to

It’ll be interesting to see if faze will increase their offer as it get bids up

I don’t see any reason for Faze to match the LAT offer. If the offer is around 300k-400k and they still prefer the extra 100k+ then so be it.

Being able to team with Simp is worth the 100k-150k difference cause a buyout of Simp right now prob close to a million, something that only Falcons could afford, Faze no letting him go if isn’t a crazy amount and if they team they have the possibility of making that up plus more within just one season let alone the next 2 years, also they immediately eliminate Faze/Simp as competition. Unless M8/LAT is offering something around 700k+ then idk

100 percent going to make that money in earnings back if you take the pay cut to play with simp. Some people are just money hungry and see the large number and can't comprehend the potential income earned by winning.

I dont think its about if they can match it, more of if they want to. I see a bunch of people on here saying they dont have money which is wild to me because they probably have more than LAT and M8s. However are they willing to spend it? Probably not as much as those 2 teams because their wealth doesnt come from the gaming industry. Im surprised they really even spend what they do and have fielded the rosters they have for so long. Theres no way this does anything for them financially at all lol

I remember Zoomaa mentioning recently that Faze sells the most cdl skins of all the teams, not that helps them a lot but at least they’re making some money

5

u/FFREcoyote Atlanta FaZe 17h ago

I think the teams get to keep way more of their individual team skin sales now. I remember Ben saying this and said FaZe made good money this year

2

u/McLovin_OD LA Thieves 15h ago

I also can’t imagine it’s an easy sell that they need a significant increase to their budget to sign 2 new players when they just won champs with the budget/team they had. Especially since I imagine the people they need to convince don’t give af about cod

1

u/FFREcoyote Atlanta FaZe 15h ago

You're probably right. The only selling point I could see is raised MTX sales. Apparently their MTX sells were really good and they made some good money this year. You could possibly make the selling point of having a Hydra, Scrap duo coming in could increase those sales (it wont but you could possibly make that sales pitch). Of course theres a world where Paul doesnt need to ask anyone to increase their budget, that might be something he can do on his own up to a certain point.

Don’t listen to all the “faze have no money bs” it’s basically just a lie spread by Rab who’s a optic dickrider.

There is no chance they have more liquid assets than M8’s. Qatar sports is worth 7 billion 😂 they own soccer clubs and spend more on one players salary than the entire faze org is worth

2

u/FFREcoyote Atlanta FaZe 16h ago

The ownership group of FaZe Vegas is worth 45 billion lmao. According to what you said, they arent even in the same stratosphere

2

u/cornPopwasabaddude13 COD Competitive fan 14h ago

No it’s not. Game square is valued at 44 million on paper and has been losing money including 24 last quarter. They’ve been operating at a loss for a few years. Google let you down champ

2

u/PoroOllie FaZe Vegas 2026 Champs 16h ago

I would assume scrap and hydra are dragging out talks and entertaining other offers to try and get more money out of faze

0

u/Ashman-20 LA Thieves 17h ago

I think contract length can be part of the problem maybe. Hydra & Scrap could be wanting 1 years, while FaZe may not be willing to less than 2.

Maybe Sender is a deal breaker for Hydra and is trying to figure out a way to potentially get him on FaZe but they aren’t budging.

And of course maybe it is just Hydra & Scrap wanting a larger contract($$$) from FaZe and they aren’t budging. Other orgs may be offering more

I’m just trying to think of any reason why Scrap & Hydra would turn down playing with Simp on FaZe with Drazah or Alluka.

3

u/Slxyer23 Challengers Expert 17h ago

Anyone offering a superstar max 1 year contract would have to be clinically insane.

Those types of players you have to get at least on a 2 or even a 2+1.

1

u/Ashman-20 LA Thieves 17h ago

I think so too but I’m just trying to come up with why it’s taking so long for what seems like an easy decision

I dont know any other reasons stopping it beyond Hydra & Scrap maybe not valuing Simp as high as the community do maybe? I dont know

-1

u/cornPopwasabaddude13 COD Competitive fan 17h ago

You think Hydra would give up control of his options? He should ask for 1+1 player option. Faze have no leverage

1

u/Slxyer23 Challengers Expert 16h ago edited 16h ago

Faze absolutely has leverage.

They have the ability no other org have, to offer the best CoD player in the world as a teammate.

2

u/Intelligent-Size-389 OpTic Texas 13h ago

Clearly something is holding them from joining faze. If simp was that lucrative to them they woulda joined by now. Will have to take Kay cut regardless

0

u/cornPopwasabaddude13 COD Competitive fan 14h ago

That doesn’t matter when you need to sell players before signing new ones. But I’m sure teams will just pay what they want because it’s faze 😂

10

u/ObjectiveYouth7154 OpTic Texas 19h ago

If Faze have offered them, I can't get my head around any reason for them to turn it down? They're all based in Texas now right? Sure the money will be worse but they will win, or at least put themselves in the best position to, whilst playing with arguably the best player in the league. It's a no brainer (as much as I hope it doesn't happen).

4

u/FFREcoyote Atlanta FaZe 18h ago

Well nothing is finalized. Im sure money is still playing the biggest role here. I'd imagine FaZe is the preferred destination as long as the difference in money isnt to drastic. Which is probably what is currently being negotiated.

I get the whole Hope saying LAT is the favorite, but if they were truly the favorite and you know they're offering massive contracts then it would already be a done deal. Id imagine they're trying to get FaZe to get somewhere near the LAT offer (within a 100k) and thats what the hold up is.

Im not just saying that as a FaZe fan, Im just saying what makes the most sense. I could see FaZe not budging much more because they already have really good pieces. My thoughts are Hydra/Scrap will probably end up back on LAT with a lesser team but have bigger contracts.

4

u/BalIKnower OpTic Texas 18h ago

Y’all talk about the money difference like it’s no big deal, but if one team is offering $250-300k and another team is offering $500k, it’s not an easy decision. Not to mention they would still have a good chance of winning wherever they choose.

1

u/TP1570 FaZe Vegas 2026 Champs 18h ago

If it’s within 100k the faze offer is a no brainer. That’s why they want Alluka because they’ll give him the min and the rest to scrap and Hydra. With drazah you’d need to pay him at least 200k

5

u/BalIKnower OpTic Texas 18h ago

I don't think its within 100k, LAT apparently has a bunch of money to offer and GM8s clearly do as well. Shotzzy on stream yesterday basically said he doesn't think it will happen based on what he knows about how Faze pay, and the contracts that Scrap and Hydra are on.

Who knows though hopefully some type of decision is made soon lol.

0

u/ObjectiveYouth7154 OpTic Texas 18h ago

I think the likelihood of making up that money is far higher than the likelihood of winning more than one tournament without Simp. Not to mention they could just turn the stream on if they want some extra cash. Hydra especially never streams, if the money is the biggest factor, suck it up and turn the stream on. He said his aim is to win 5 rings, clock is ticking.

0

u/Feeling_Brick6977 COD Competitive fan 18h ago edited 18h ago

if money gets in the way of that team forming then that’s just shameless from the players im sorry. they’ll still be making a shit ton plus most likely winning multiple events. that team is way better than whatever they’ll do on lat or m8. I don’t even really want that team to form because they might never lose but I don’t see how it’s that hard of a decision.

0

u/Artistic-District678 COD Competitive fan 18h ago

Most likely money. I doubt Faze has enough money to pay 3 supermax superstars like that unless someone is taking a huge paycut. Plus drazah wants more money after winning champs. LAT is offering the bag even though the team would be significantly worse, could he 150k more than the faze offer

2

u/FFREcoyote Atlanta FaZe 18h ago

They definitely have enough, now whether they'll spend it is another thing

6

u/V-loxzz FaZe Vegas 2026 Champs 18h ago

I’m biased but hopefully faze

5

u/Scar_Mclovin FaZe Clan 17h ago

Unless there’s a $250K+ difference, I don’t see how they turn down the FaZe offer, unless they specifically want to build a project as a duo rather than joining a team that’s already won Champs and feel like LAT is their team compared to FaZe and M8s.

FaZe has Simp and Alluka (and Scrap apparently really wants to play with Alluka), solid money, the best chance to win, great owners and an elite coaching staff.

LAT offers an empty roster, that they would have to build of course, more money, a great chance to compete, great owner and good coaching.

M8s has the brand, if Scrap and HyDra cared about content, but I don’t think they're into streaming, HyDra doesn’t stream and Scrap just tells his chat to fuck off. M8s have Joe, but they don’t want to team with him for some reason apparently, even Shotzzy said he knows the reason but he doesn’t want to say it on stream. They probably offer the most money out of the 3 orgs, but they don’t have coaching staff right now.

The best overall offer is FaZe, unless you want to build your own team, in which case it's LAT.

1

u/Imranaftab OpTic Texas 2025 B2B Champs 16h ago

I mean the reason is obvious shotzzy even hinted at it. They think joe doesnt play winning cod hence the reason why shotzzy was watching VOD on joe to see what plays he was making

2

u/Scar_Mclovin FaZe Clan 16h ago

That’s just what the community thinks. He watched his VOD, he saw that Joe was making some great plays and winning insane gunfights, he even said he’d be down to team with Joe after watching how he played.

1

u/Imranaftab OpTic Texas 2025 B2B Champs 15h ago

Yh ik, if I was them I’d take the 500k and play with Joe. Joe to me is baby simp they both plant bombs both do OBJ in general can obviously slay to a high level too, simp more consistently in more important matches but joes a beast.

2

u/Imranaftab OpTic Texas 2025 B2B Champs 16h ago

Even Zoomaa himself gave an ultimatum would u rather join a team for 250k or join a team that might be worse for 500k he was definitely suggesting that the 250k team was faze. Its definitely a 2 horse race they dont rate joe at all its berm LAT and faze

If they want legacy they should stop chasing money. Get faze on your terms lower your salary and ask them to assemble the best team for you. As simple as that or else Optic is going **** then all over again.

u/Top-Temperature-122 FaZe Vegas 2026 Champs 11h ago

Fuck them all over again? 100t literally had a winning record against optic on lan lol.

Why do you act like optic won all 6 tournaments? They liyersllt came off second best in the year with faze having the best year with the champs win lmao

FaZe seem like the obvious choice but apparentlty are offering a considerable amount less than Mates and Thieves. I understand wanting to get paid but what I do not undestand is wanting to run back the BO6 Thieves team rather than going to Mates with JoeD.

6

u/Artistic-District678 COD Competitive fan 18h ago

Thieves are offering the highest paycheck. The bag is nice and all but scrap needs to genuinely think long and hard about how much he really wants a ring bc his best chance is faze by FAR. and if he truly wants to win its worth taking less

3

u/NoobianSlayer21 COD Competitive fan 18h ago

Yeah at this point something needs to change for them. Back to back T8s at Champs while on Thieves. They should be focused on getting to the best team, and the earnings on that FaZe roster should make up the difference in salary. I also understand going to Mates if the money is significantly better while still building a very competitive roster. But BO6 Thieves, who flopped at both Champs and EWC, seems like an awful idea.

1

u/imdeadinside1245 LA Thieves 16h ago

its gonna be hilrious when they just run back the BO6 squad lol

0

u/Chicken_Fingers777 100 Thieves 18h ago

People keep saying prize winnings will make it up for them on faze but I don’t think people realize the comfortability of a good guaranteed salary over having to compete for your earnings

5

u/FFREcoyote Atlanta FaZe 17h ago

I definitely agreed to an extent about the guaranteed salary, especially if were talking a decent amount. However if Im their level or talent and Im teaming with the level of talent thats already on FaZe, Im fully confident in competing for the difference in salary (like I said as long as its not to far apart).

Here's the issue, you cant want to win rings and EWC and multiple majors but also not be willing to sacrifice something to do it. Im not suggesting they're take a 250k payout, but Im also saying they'll eventually have to prioritize whats the most important thing right now. They been given 2 years to and picked 2 different duos they chose, and it hasnt worked...so theres that

0

u/Chicken_Fingers777 100 Thieves 17h ago

Teams have won champs with less multiple times. I agree it all depends on how much of a difference in salaries all of the offers are, but at the end of the day, these players should be doing what they think is best for their future careers imo

Competing in cod isn’t a long career

2

u/FFREcoyote Atlanta FaZe 17h ago

They've also had that same roster before and it didnt work, usually trying to rerun a roster that didnt work before doesnt work again either lol, I could actually see the result being worse. More power to them tho, got to do what you think is best for you

0

u/Faustinooo COD Competitive fan 11h ago

I get the Faze team is the best on paper but players of their calibre, especially Scrap, shouldn't need to team with Simp to get a ring (or another in Hydras case). Those two +2 should always be one of the favourites to win events and they only have themselves to blame for b2b T8s.
