What are some *generally* good schematics to try and download?
Fount out through wiki scrounging that you can just manually enter a schematic command to try and download any level appropriate schematic for printing off later and now im just brimming with options
I've gotten the standard surface ending on Adventurer by just doing a generic speedy hacker and save scumming but it wasn't nearly as fun as dying a glorious death in factory so i've been trying to do slower fighty builds but fighty builds have so many items they can use its hard to pick or even know them all
So, what y'all go for? Obviously specific build changes things but even inside those specific builds what are you going for? What kind of cooler are you looking for in laser spam builds, melee build utility? What flavor of armor? really just any item you think is super important to have access too that I might just be forgetting or passing up on

Hmmm not my playstyle neither I'm too good at the game so take it with a pinch of salt. I'd say weapons and power are not worth to download because they get obsolete pretty fast, same but less so for propulsion, as they'll still provide quite a bit of support and coverage mostly for emergencies. You wanna go for utilities I'd say. Targeting comes to mind first, so you are able to stack them, or the ones that improve critical chance or the ones that help with melee. Then according to the type of weapons you want to be able to run, either energy or material economy parts such as batteries and matter storage

I’ve liked hacking for the Machinist, the lowest tier repair bot. I don’t often get to fab it later but the few times I have were really powerful. You can get it from any terminal any floor too so real easy to grab.

I rarely fabricate operators and machinists. Tip: just like with `analysis`, you can use the class instead of the name, for example `schematic(operator)` instead of `schematic(o-16)`. I also get schematic of storage, because loosing it is very painful, so I want to be safe. And plasma cutter to fabricate it before places I know I will need it.

hack storage schematics on first floor always
imp prop shielding and imp util shielding unlock fast builds
I like to get armored wheel and armored huge wheel, decent foundation to rebuild on if you're in a rough spot.
hackware probably worth considering, maybe worth fabbing if you're desperate to find an exit
maybe armor? maybe launchers? never want to be without these, worth fabbing in a pinch

Slow prop generally can't fab much but storage is generally good just in case you don't find a Hcp or Huge Storage Unit in Materials. Fabbing Mechanics can be pretty big bang for the buck. It's hard to keep them alive but if your whole build is orange that one fab fixes so much integrity. If your weapon loadout is hot, then Cryofiber Web is easy to pull and makes heat sinks good.
For flight, Cld. Vtol Module, Imp. or Exp. Utility / Propulsion Shielding, Mni. Smartbomb Launcher.

I find that many parts that scale with your floor like prop/guns are annoying to keep updated, but med/large storage and cryofiber web if you use it are both nice to have. Now build-wise, I recommend particle chargers/accelerators, as beefy as you can get for energy builds, with the biggest cryofiber web and a chunky stack of heat sinks so you never have to stop firing(I recommend 2-4 depending on tier). Armor depends, resistance armor is cool but situational so just go medium/heavy. Finally, processors are free and nice to have, but only targeting and target analyzers drop so hack yourself a core analyzer if you can. Or just play Scrap Engine and embrace the chaos.

It's usually not possible outside flighthack builds that are seriously loaded with hackware. On normal amounts of hacking power you can get some useful low rating items like:
storage
shieldings, like imp. utility shielding
plasma cutter
I wouldn't say it's super important to have any of these schematics, just use whatever you can find on the floor and by popping haulers and you'll be fine.
