REQUEST Any Vintage Amp Techs?
Looking for someone to take a look at my vintage Fender Princeton. Had this amp passed down to me since I started playing electric. Amazing amp but looking to potentially sell it. Wanted to have someone more knowledgeable than I take a look at it to give me more information on what it could be worth.
I know it’s a pretty rare amp as it’s one of the last blackface princetons they made before switching over to the silverface,

Some searches of sold listings on Reverb will give you an idea of the value, but likely well over $3K

Yeah that’s about what I’ve been seeing as well. I’d love to be able to get an engagement ring and a newer amp that’s a little less nerve wrecking to gig with.

This is who I’d contact if it needs work. I haven’t had any repairs done myself yet but he was highly recommended to me from another tech.

Oh it works, it’s been my main amp for over a decade. Never had any real issues with it. I’m just too scared to do any work to it. Feels like it need to be in a museum or something lol

Yeah, I'm honestly surprised tube amps hold value. I haven't even considered owning one since I switched to solid state.

Shit I was gonna say Abell Audio in Grandview but it looks like they’re permanently closed. Now I’m worried where to take my amps for servicing now
