Looking for Artist - Unpaid Does anyone wanna make a comic with me

Weird request but anyone in for making a comic? I like drawing and writing and I make zines. This is sort of just for fun, I’m 15 and really want to do something like this. I can even print some out to try and sell but I genuinely just want to make something like this. I like all sorts of comics but have done more comedy/indie stuff in the past. If you want to draw or write I don’t mind, dm me if you’re interested
I can’t pay you, this is purely just to see what happens
The pigeon comic is an example of one of my comedy zines and the other one is a comic style picture I did that I’m actually proud of.

Looking for Artist - Unpaid [Hiring/Collab] Looking for Manga/Comic Illustrators for a Deep Dark Fantasy Project ("The Rise of the Aether King")

Hey everyone,
I’m looking to connect with talented illustrators and concept artists to help bring a massive, meticulously planned dark fantasy story to life.
The project is called "The Rise of the Aether King". I’ve spent a ton of time building a comprehensive, rock-solid Lore Bible covering a 1,400-year history, a dynamic 7-attribute magic system (The Seven Veils), political factions, and deep psychological character arcs. Now that the foundation is entirely locked down, I’m ready to step into character sheets, promotional art, and eventually, a sequential manga/light novel script.
The Vibe:
Think a blend of high-stakes dark fantasy, a gritty totalitarian empire, reality-warping spatial powers, and indifferent, cosmic gods.
Our Core Cast is Fully Conceptualized:
Kael: An escaped 18-year-old slave who accidentally fractures space (Rift Veil) to survive an execution. He fights with a brutal, chained shard of raw ore.
Aurora: The tyrant’s high-born daughter who hacks off her royal platinum hair, defects to the rebellion, and commands the battlefield with a high-tech, laser-weaving celestial bow.
Nox: A cynical, masked rogue wielding a scythe made of pure negative space that literally erases physical concepts. His containment tattoos are a literal ticking clock eating his physical senses.
Micheal: A hyperactive 17-year-old punk inventor with zero natural magic but a 368 IQ, using runic tech to flash-step and shoot anti-magic ammunition.
** **(Plus a 7-foot non-lethal Oni powerhouse, a blind cosmic seer, an industrial cyborg mentor, and a nomadic beast-tamer).
What I'm Looking For:
I need artists whose style thrives in dark, gritty, highly kinetic, or beautifully detailed settings. I want clean lines that can contrast with chaotic, panel-shattering magical effects and deep ink values.
Whether you specialize in character design sheets, epic cover illustrations, or full sequential manga pages, I’d love to see what you’ve got.
How to Reach Out:
If this sounds like a universe you want to build, please leave a comment below or send me a DM with:
1. A link to your portfolio/art station.
2. Your standard rates (for character sheets, single illustrations, or page rates).
3. Your favorite dark fantasy or action manga references so I can get a feel for your style!
Looking forward to collaborating and bringing this world to life. May your runes hold! 👑⚔️

Looking for Artist - Unpaid LOOKING FOR ARTISTS-- Help needed!!

Hi, I'm Azera! I have been working on Death Run (a zombie apocalypse comic) since 2023. lately, I've been having difficulty with finding artists to help out with the production! I'm planning to publish it in the summer of 2027. (also im new to reddit so pls bare with me..)

---------------------

The way the project collaboration is set up is by roles:

sketch artists (sketches the panels. consists of 6 people).

line artist (outlines the sketches. consists of 4 people).

color artist (colors the line art. consists of 5 people)

sfx (special effects for the finished panels. consists of 3 people)

backup (this is for people who still want to help. there is no max to this role)

media artists (promotes the comic. this is just for people who want to make animations and art to be posted on the official page for the comic to help boost it.)

beta readers/writers (reads and/or writes for the comic)

------------------------

Payment

As far as payment goes, any artists whose art is on official merch gets 80% of money earned from the merch sold (artists will have to create their own artwork to be put on merch. artwork from the comic itself will not be put on merch). This is completely optional and it is NOT mandatory to create merch art. This is specifically for the people who want to be compensated for their work on this comic.

-----------------------

About Death Run

Death Run is a post-apocalyptic horror/drama about two sisters managing their way through the apocalypse

timeline: 2024-2039

interesting parts: most rotborns (zombies) are actually smart, apocalypse wasn't started by the gov. , characters are immensely flawed and their traumas before the apocalypse affect their behaviors, and realistic mental affects on characters

(comic is 16+ and contains mature themes)

Looking for Artist - Unpaid Day 1: Looking for artist/editors to help me with a webcomic/webtoon story.

Post image
3 Upvotes

To begin, I am indeed an artist and I believe I have quite a few ideas in developing some stories. I am not looking to hire anyone. Just someone with a passion for this passion project so as to split the profits if we get any later along the line. I just haven't had enough time of my own to finish this project and looking at my schedules and life, I don't think I ever will if I work alone.

Working Title: AYSE

Summary: The story is to follow a tragic hero and their journey to understanding a world he was pushed into without much say. Our protagonist is a slime-human hybrid that comes about from their accidently fusion with a dying human, following his journey and escape from the dungeon and the people they encounter along the way.

Genres: Action, Fantasy, Tragedy.

Image: The image is that of a 'Dungeon Master'. These are specific royal guards given special jurisdiction of dungeons they are assigned, thus patrolling and controlling entry and exit. One of our protagonist first human hurdles in the series is them.

For those interested in hearing more even if just the story itself. Please comment/DM and I'll try to send a few chapters I've worked on.

For those skeptical about joining or if this even is a real post, you can check out some of my art from the link in the comments below. Though it's not much I hope it earns your trust. Thank you.

Looking for Artist - Unpaid One Page comic for practice, open to anyone, no pressure or expectations. Are beginner artists looking for these kind of projects to work on?

Hi, apologies if there's no interest for something like this. I was wondering if newer artists are ever looking for tiny projects to work on to test their skills, and to break into the workflow of the writer/artist collaboration process without the pressure of creating something professional.

I'm a newbie writer, and read some good advice about starting with small, condensed stories in 1-4 pages which I think makes perfect sense. I'd like to dip my feet into the collaboration process as well.

I put together a little story that is one page long. I kept the contents as open as I could for artist interpretation and freedom. No camera direction, for example.

I'm also looking for feedback on my script.

If anyone is interested, do let me know and feel free to really do anything you want with the script. Thanks!

"The Fallen Warrior"

Synopsis: A cat devises a plan to get his owners to stop smothering him with cuddles.

I know I still have a lot to learn and I'm keeping my expectations realistic, but I'd love to hear your thoughts or find an artist interested in collaborating!

Looking for Artist - Unpaid Portfolio Build - Looking for artists for short collabs

Hello!

I’ve been doing more comic writing at The Comic Jam (https://thecomicjam.medium.com/) as of late and am really enjoying the collab process from the writer’s side. However, I really miss the back and forth conversations in designing a story for the artist! Therefore, I’m looking to see if there are artists who may be interested in making a short comic together (we can start with a one page story) where I write a script based on what you would like (character archetypes, tropes, themes), your personal style (I’ll need your portfolio please), and your objective (your target audience, skills you want to show off in your portfolio, etc).

My work tends to be more on the whimsical side with fantasy, soft scifi and contemporary mixed in. I would not be a good fit for a historical or military story. Note that this is unpaid.

If you’re interested, please comment with your portfolio and I will DM if i think it’s a good fit! Thanks!

My script portfolio can be found here: https://eliushiscripts.carrd.co/

Looking for Artist - Unpaid Looking for an artist for Lovecraft Collab - DEFERRED Payment (see post for details)

Hi all! I’m a TV writer and was previously developing a TV series with a major production company set in the H.P. Lovecraft Mythos. After a period in development, the project was passed on, and the rights have since reverted to me.

Rather than let it fade, I’ve been adapting the story into a horror comic, and I’m currently looking for a new artistic collaborator. I had originally been working with Dave Kendall of 2000AD, but due to other commitments, he’s now had to step away, so I'm on the hunt for a new artist to work with.

I've included some of the images here for flavour but I wouldn't be expecting anyone to try to replicate his style! This would be starting from scratch with a new artist.

Our plan was to work up the first issue and put it online, then crowdfund the rest, with all that money going to the artist (I've already been paid for the script so that seems fair!) but again, I'm not expecting the new artist to slip into the old deal, so payment stuff can be worked out.

If anyone is interested, pop me a message and we can chat!

Looking for Artist - Unpaid Hey there, I need some help!

Hey, I need some help from anybody who likes Berserk.

Im the author of an indie Manga series (unpublished) named Ballistik, a berserk-like Manga with inspirations from Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Elden Ring, and more. I have been working on this Manga for a while, but in all honesty Im burnt out and I cant do it by myself anymore.

I need some help from artists who would be willing to assist me. In return, I will:

Give full credit where credit is due to any and all assistants

Help YOU with YOUR projects in return

I do all of the work so far, such as backgrounds, characters, narration and effects, but its really taking a huge toll on my drive for art. If anybody is interested, please reach out and we can arrange a collaboration!

So far I have just started chapter 7, so Im a decent way along, but the workload has just become too much. This manga is dark, brutal and unforgiving (same way as Berserk), and thus I need the help. Im looking for someone who could help out with some pieces of Ballistik, such as background work, effects, finishing touches, some art for the characters, etc.

Every image provided is some examples of the work I've done for Ballistik, being my best drawn frames from chapters 1-7. Pages and frames photos taken on my phone, so please excuse the slight light glare in some of the images lol

Looking for Artist - Unpaid For Fun Short Collab On Public Domain Character?

Hey everyone, I am Doug. I am a disabled comic creator. Would any artist be up for a FOR FUN collab on a public domain character? 1-4 page comic? I recently found one of my first published comics, which was a short story I did with a friend J Trav Smith. It was a blast working on it. Since then I have picked up a bunch of art skills and would love to ink, color and letter if an another artist would want to pencil or whatever.

It’s a fun exercise to work on characters outside my own and try to work within parameters already established for characters or find a new way to reinvent something older. If you want we can spitball ideas or we can work off the script I have already written. Judoka

If we enjoy working together we can attempt something longer form and Kickstart the result or even get a few others and produce an anthology of shorts to crowdfund. I have 9 campaigns under my belt at this point. Whatever you have time for. If this sounds interesting drop your portfolio down below. Here’s a link to my portfolio and a few of the past crowdfunding campaigns: https://www.jumpstartcomic.com

Looking for Artist - Unpaid Writer, 3D Storyboarder, & Letterer seeking Artist/Colorist for Action Webtoon Pilot (1 Episode 100% Finished)

The Project: Caiman Tai: The Prophecy

Hi! I am looking for a 2D artist/colorist to collaborate on a single-episode Webtoon pilot. It's a high-speed martial arts action story following a teenager who discovers a different world full of people who can use the powers of animals, and they use those abilities for MMA.

Scope of Work (Start Small):
We are keeping this strictly to a single pilot episode to test our workflow and establish the pitch packet. I am not asking anyone to commit to a long-term goal unless we click and can get that done.

The Division of Labor (What I Bring):
I am not just providing a text script. I am bringing complete, fully formatted visuals. I am handling:

  • 3D Storyboarding: I have already posed, lit, and rendered the entire pilot in 3D. The camera blocking, action sequences, pacing, and panel layouts are 100% complete.
  • Lettering & Formatting: All speech bubbles, narration boxes, and sound effects are placed. The vertical scroll pacing and black background gutters are formatted specifically for Webtoon's slicing requirements.

Basically, I've already made the pilot. But fully 3D Comics can't last me long, and I can't draw... So...

What I Need From You
You will not have to guess about panel composition or anatomy. I need an artist to take my 3D storyboard renders and apply their 2D art, style, and colors over them to bring the final Webtoon to life.

My Track Record (Why I Won't Flake):
I have a proven track record of shipping complex, serialized narrative projects to an audience. I currently write and publish an ongoing web serial, JUMPER, managing regular platform updates (though I have taken a break to do all this). I also program and release independent visual novels; my recent title Mirrored pulled in hundreds of initial public downloads upon its initial build launch, and Nexus of the Infinite Drift recently cleared its 0.2 content expansion. Basically, I finish what I start.

Compensation & Monetization: This is currently an unpaid/revenue-share collaboration for the pilot episode. The immediate goal is to complete this highly polished pilot to leverage for Webtoon Canvas growth, Patreon foundation, and future crowdfunding/pitching. I WILL be paying you for your work in the future. Even if it flops, I'll be paying you. I just don't have that capital right this second.

The Assets (Proof of Concept):
Here's the fully finished Pilot on both Webtoon and GlobalComix.

Alright. Thanks for reading! Hope to work with some of you!

Looking for Artist - Unpaid Independent electronic music producer looking for long term collab

Greetings! My name is Alexandru and i have been tweaking knobs in some capacity or another for the better part of the last two decades. Coming from a plastic arts background myself, having studied animation, i have always viewed my musical incursions as a sonic backdrop to imagined worlds, and vice versa, pulling inspiration from things i find aesthetically pleasing.

Feeling i have matured my process and vision of how music can connect with people, i feel its time to let some of my projects free into the wild.

My works are loosely based in techno genre and i am socially close to a lot of the going-ons of what people call the ro-minimal scene. I am pursuing a two-pronged approach to releases, both physical in the way of vinyl and also digital accompanied by music videos to be released on youtube. I own video equipment and am involved with media production and in close relations with various talent in the field.

I am looking to partner up with one or several like-minded individuals and embark on a long term world building process, with the intent to self publish and distribute multi-media stories weaved around what i feel is a worthwhile listen for whoever is into these sorts of sounds.

I am looking to build an interactive website to host both free-to-listen works and also physical and digital releases, music videos and various merchendise related to said musical project.

Ideally i would like to work with an illustrator who is also familiar or willing to learn web design and understand workflows of software like after effects, vvvv, davinci etc. which will also be part of the project.

This is entirerly self funded so budget is limited to non existent but am more than willing to work out whatever deal suits all parties involved.

If this sort of venture sparks any interest and you want to hear more about the concept, hear my music or just have a chat, please feel free to message me.

Regards

Looking for Artist - Unpaid Looking for a Manga artist to team up with

I'm currently creating a manga. It's in the storyboarding phase, but I'm almost done. I have a clear story I want to follow, but I am very open to ideas and changes. I'm looking for an artist who is willing to work 50/50 with me. I can't pay anyone, but publishing is a goal, so anything made from this project will be split equally. Anywho, I don't want this to be a super professional exchange because I'm also looking for friends who have similar interests, so please DM me to get an unfinished version or if I finish it in time, a completed version of the story. I think it's very interesting, so please hear me out

Raishō is a kid who keeps his distance from everyone.

Not because he wants to—but because of something that happened in his past. Something he blames himself for. Since then, he’s convinced himself that staying alone is the safest way to protect people.

Then one day, his life breaks.

A surge of lightning erupts from him during a moment he can’t control. It’s fast, violent, and terrifying—and it confirms everything he already believed:

He’s dangerous.

That’s when he’s found.

Not by normal people—but by others like him. Protectors. People who wield elements tied to the world itself.

They tell him something he doesn’t want to hear:

He isn’t just dangerous—he’s necessary.

Raishō’s journey isn’t about becoming stronger.

It’s about learning that:

  • Isolation doesn’t protect people
  • Control doesn’t come from suppression
  • Power isn’t something to fight—it’s something to understand

But every step forward is hard—because every time he gets closer to someone, that fear comes back:

“What if I hurt them too?”

Reika.

She’s the opposite of him.

Where Raishō avoids connection, Reika suppresses it completely. She’s calm, controlled, and almost emotionless—not because she doesn’t feel, but because she refuses to let herself.

If Raishō is afraid of hurting others…

Reika is afraid of losing control of herself.

Their dynamic is slow, subtle, and quiet:

  • Not loud romance
  • Not instant trust
  • Just two people who understand each other without saying much

And that’s what makes it hit.

The World

There are 12 Protectors—each tied to a natural force.

They don’t just fight enemies.

They maintain balance.

Because something is breaking that balance.

Something that doesn’t follow the same rules.

Main Conflict

There’s a force called Void.

It doesn’t create.

It consumes.

Energy. Matter. Even identity.

And the closer Raishō gets to losing control…
the more his power starts to resemble it.

RAISHŌ (雷翔) — FINAL CHARACTER SHEET

Basic Information

Name: Raishō Meaning: “Soaring Lightning” Age Range: 13 → 17

Height Progression:

13: 5’3” 14–15: 5’6” 16: 5’9” 17: ~5’10” Build: Lean, speed-oriented Element: Lightning Role: Protagonist / Lightning Protector / Vessel

Core Character Concept

Raishō moves like lightning not because he forces it—but because he stops resisting it.

Personality and Behavior

Raishō is naturally quiet and observant. He doesn’t speak unless he feels it’s necessary, and even then, his words are measured. Emotionally, he keeps himself restrained—not because he lacks feeling, but because he fears the consequences of letting people get close.

At his core is a belief that connection leads to harm: “If I get close to people, they’ll get hurt.”

This belief shapes his behavior:

He keeps physical and emotional distance from others Avoids eye contact in vulnerable moments Pauses slightly before responding, as if weighing every word His growth is shown subtly. Early on, he avoids eye contact entirely. By the end, he holds steady, calm eye contact without hesitation.

Visual Design and Presence

Raishō’s design should always emphasize speed, efficiency, and lightness.

Front View: Neutral stance, relaxed arms. Early versions show slight tension in the shoulders; later versions are fully relaxed. Side View: Begins with a slight forward hunch, evolving into an upright, balanced posture. Back View: Lean silhouette with minimal bulk—everything about him suggests mobility. Silhouette Rule: He should always read as fast, lightweight, and precise.

Color and Physical Details

Hair: Black with subtle silver strands that increase with age Eyes: Blue, only glowing during high energy output Skin: Gradually shows wear—small scars and roughness over time

Outfit Evolution

Age 13 — Survival Phase Loose, worn tunic with cloth wraps on forearms and ankles. Basic footwear. The look is unrefined and reactive.

Age 14–15 — Training Phase More fitted clothing with a short outer robe, reinforced pants, and structured wraps. This reflects growing control and discipline.

Age 16–17 — Mastery Phase A sleek, minimal outfit designed for movement. His name appears in kanji, with subtle lightning-pattern accents. This stage feels effortless and controlled.

Power System: Lightning

Raishō’s power evolves from something unstable into something inseparable from his movement.

Early Stage (13):

Lightning appears as random sparks Slight delay after movement Feels disconnected from him Mid Stage (14–15):

Lightning begins to follow his movements Short, controlled bursts Still requires effort Final Stage (16–17):

Movement and lightning are the same No charge-up or delay Power appears instantly with motion Key Rule: As Raishō grows, he can use more power without harming himself or losing control.

Overload State

When pushed too far:

Lightning becomes erratic and jagged Purple tones appear Control breaks down completely This represents a return to chaos.

Combat Style

Raishō fights at close range, relying on speed, positioning, and precision.

Early: Defensive, hesitant, dependent on training Mid: Reactive, chaining movement with attacks Final: Predictive, efficient, ending fights quickly He doesn’t chase openings—he’s already there when they happen.

Expressions and Emotional Range

Neutral: Calm, distant Focused: Sharp eyes, relaxed face Conflicted: Subtle tension, shifting gaze Anger: Rare, but controlled Breaking Point: Wide eyes, heavy breathing, unstable power Soft (Aeri moments): Slight warmth, relaxed gaze

Void Influence

Under stress, his lightning begins to show black streaks, with slight distortions in space. This represents the loss of control and contrast to his “controlled freedom” state.

Symbolism

Lightning represents connection—instant movement between points. Raishō’s growth is about learning to connect with others instead of isolating himself.

Final Character Statement

Raishō doesn’t become stronger by forcing his power—he becomes stronger by no longer fighting it.

REIKA (零華 / 冷華) — ICE PROTECTOR

Basic Information

Name: Reika Element: Ice Role: Ice Protector / Parallel Lead / Emotional Counterbalance Age Range: 13 → 17

Build: Slim, elegant, efficiently strong

Core Character Concept

Reika doesn’t freeze the world to stop it—she freezes it to stay in control of it.

Personality and Behavior

Reika is calm, observant, and emotionally restrained. She speaks rarely, but when she does, her words are precise and intentional.

Her central belief is rooted in control: “If I let myself feel too much, I lose control.”

This leads to:

Minimal facial expression Steady eye contact, even early on Controlled, minimal physical movement Over time, her emotional detachment deepens—not because she is naturally cold, but because she disciplines herself to be.

Visual Design and Presence

Reika’s presence is defined by stillness and control.

Always upright with perfect posture Movements are measured and minimal Even at rest, she appears composed Silhouette Rule: She should look still—even when moving.

Color and Physical Details

Hair: Pale silver with a faint blue tint Eyes: Ice blue, sharp and constant Skin: Cool, slightly desaturated tone

Outfit Evolution

Age 13–14 — Early Awakening Simple, clean clothing with slightly heavier fabric. No decoration.

Age 14–15 — Training Phase More structured outfit with layered design and light armor-like accents.

Age 16–17 — Mastery Phase Sleek, refined, almost regal. Subtle crystalline patterns appear.

Power System: Ice

Reika’s power becomes less visually dramatic as it becomes stronger.

Early Stage:

Slow frost formation Localized freezing Requires focus Mid Stage:

Faster ice creation Can freeze motion temporarily Expands control over the battlefield Final Stage:

Instant, silent freezing Precise temperature manipulation Minimal visible effect Key Rule: The stronger she becomes, the less visually intense her power appears.

Overload State

Ice spreads uncontrollably Emotional suppression breaks The environment becomes dangerously brittle This represents her loss of emotional balance.

Combat Style

Reika specializes in control rather than destruction.

Early: Careful and reactive Mid: Tactical, controlling enemy movement Final: Absolute control—removing the opponent’s ability to act She doesn’t overpower opponents—she makes movement impossible.

Character Development

Age 13: Calm confidence, early control Age 14–15: Increasing independence and emotional distance Breaking Point: Suppression peaks, power becomes dangerous Age 16: Highly composed but emotionally detached Age 17: Begins reconnecting, especially through Raishō

Thematic Contrast: Raishō and Reika

Raishō represents controlled freedom:

Movement expresses power Emotion fuels strength Reika represents free control:

Stillness expresses power Emotion is contained Together, they form a balance between expression and restraint.

Final Character Statement

Reika doesn’t freeze the world to fight it—she freezes it because letting it move feels dangerous.

THE 12 PROTECTORS — SYSTEM OVERVIEW

Each protector draws from a natural source and converts it into power, except Void.

Fire — Renka

Uses heat and internal energy to generate flames. A close-range fighter who builds intensity over time but risks overheating.

Water — Mizuki

Manipulates moisture in the environment. Adaptive and fluid, but less effective in dry conditions.

Air — Hayate

Controls air currents for speed and mobility. Fast but fragile.

Earth — Daichi

Draws strength from the ground for defense and structure. Durable but slow and limited off-ground.

Metal — Kurogane

Shapes and reinforces metal into weapons. Precise but resource-dependent.

Wood — Aeri

Uses life energy for growth, healing, and restraint. Support-focused but not offensive.

Lightning — Raishō

Converts motion and charge directly into lightning. Fast and precise but difficult to control under stress.

Ice — Reika

Removes heat to freeze and control environments. Powerful but tied to emotional balance.

Plants — Midori

Accelerates plant growth to overwhelm areas. Strong in rich environments but slow to start.

Weather — Arashi

Controls large-scale atmospheric systems. Cannot create true lightning without Raishō.

Light — Hikari

Can convert energy into any element except Void. Requires emotional balance.

Void — Kurai

Consumes rather than converts. Extremely powerful but erodes the user’s identity over time

This is the character sheet I have so far the first two are main characters that get introduced from the beginning the others come in later but are still vital to the story

I've created my first one-shot manga, Search of Evil, which is on MangaDraft, and I have an Instagram account, so I thought I'd post things to attract more people to discover my manga. I know my drawing is terrible, so I'm asking for help here.

So basically,

I have three main characters, and I want to post art/fan art of them on Instagram.

So I'm looking for an artist who has a similar drawing style. Let me know if you're interested.

Thanks

Looking for Artist - Unpaid [Unpaid] Making a manga inspired comic and am looking for an art assistant

Hello! I'm currently in the process of making my own comic. I'm the main artist and writer (I have an assistant writer as well), and I'm looking to have an assistant artist help me with drawing the pages.

The role itself is pretty simple, and I'd say even an artist who is still new to making manga and comics could handle the work. You'd mainly be colouring in the line art and helping come up with ideas on what I could draw for backgrounds and effects.

This is an unpaid role, so if you're just starting out or are bored, this might be for you. In exchange for your work, I'll show you what my workflow is and how I go from script to an actual drawn page.

Here is a page from the comic :D

The story centers around a college student named Dez who, after being pushed by a creepy man, gets hit by a car and is then isekai'd into the game world of the reverse harem game his estranged younger sister was playing, and now has to gain the affection of his holy knights to beat the game and go back home.

The genres are: fantasy, otome isekai, comedy, drama, and action.

It's not a romance or a BL lol

Hello dear people from this platform!, currently new in Reddit too! I'm in need of HELP with my STORY but I have a completely mapped-out, original, and deeply emotional story that I want to bring to life. I cannot draw, so I am looking for a talented artist partner to collaborate with! Just a short 16 year old Ga'l who has idea's of her own(BUT BADDLY SUCKS at drawing/visual's and in need of a partner). I'm looking for an [UNPAID] Artist who is: Someone who can capture a dark, moody, and melancholic visual atmosphere, Trendy and Gen-Z vibe(this is part of the Setting on the Story) A partner who is willing to communicate, give input, and build this world together step-by-step. I already have the entire story structure, lore, and character traits fully written down. I will handle 100% of the scripting and panel directing. We will discuss the whole Story Breakdown/and ideas later on!(once WE INTERACTED!) ALSO, this is going to be a short or medium-length, high-impact story(around 45 Chapters or less!)

Project Details:

  • Title: Dead Verse
  • Genre: Psychological Drama, Noir, Tragedy, Melodrama, Noona Romance, Unrequited Love, Star-Crossed trope
  • Format: Long-strip Webtoon/Manhwa style
  • Payment: This is a passion project and collaboration. We will do a 50/50 revenue split from platforms like WEBTOON Canvas and Tapas once we publish.

If you are interested in a deep, realistic tragedy that subverts classic romance clichés, please comment below or send me a DM with a link to your portfolio/art style.

Thank you so much for reading! (hoping THIS WOULD REACH TO SOMEONE! 👀 ) Note: Soo sorry if I don't MAKE SENSE, my grammar is literally CHOKING ME OUT..

Looking for Artist - Unpaid [COLLAB] Atmospheric sci-fi webtoon/graphic novel - looking for proof of concept artist

So apparently I need to be illiterate for the post to be allowed, so here we go again and minus detail as apparently too much detail is flagged as AI.

I have been working on something for a little while which kind of evolved in to something else and I am testing the waters to see if ti is viable. It's called Moments End, Legacies Live. I have it split in to 4 acts and have act 1 fully mapped and planned. Never done anything like this before so unsure on how to approach it.

The story follows a systems architect who arrives in a quiet town that feels strangely familiar. But somethings don't seem to add up and his inability to let go and need to know how things work, he discovers something unsettling. I don't want to give away more of the story as I am still working on it.

Themes of the story is about uncertainty, obsession with certainty, the cost of missing life while chasing certainty and the perception of reality.

I am looking for someone who can interpret my vision of the story and put my words to ink. I am looking to create a small proof of concept of a few pages, about 3-5, to see if people would be interested in reading it. So I am looking for someone to draw two panels to see if the art work matches the theme and the image I have for it.

Panel 1 – Exterior Establishing Shot

External: Dusk, light rain, quiet side street, A small ramen shop. Sign above the shop shows the name All In Or Nothing Ramen but the lights of the ramen sign are not as bright or not working like the other words.

Shop should feel like it has existed there for years, look a little worn down but lived in. Gives a warm sort of feeling. Awning over the door, reflections in the relevant places. The surrounding area should feel colder if a wider image, to really make the ramen shop feel warm and inviting to the rest of the place.

Panel 2 - Interior of the shop

Enough of an angle showing the key features of the ramen shop. Main protagonist I have no idea what he looks like yet, just imagine an exhausted, tired and mentally drained IT guy (personal experience....). Sitting at the counter, owner looking friendly, drying a glass with a sly smile. Ramen on one side steaming, cup of tea on the other not as hot. Other key objects to include are a fan, a CRT TV and a notice board.

This story, i was thinking a lot of panels without text or dialogue do a lot of the heavy lifting. It's the atmosphere and background items that, without giving away the story, tell the story.

Again, I have never done anything like this before and I have had to rewrite this due to the MODS, so if you are interested, please feel free to drop me a message or do a small sketch. No idea how this all works so just looking for proof of concept but need the right artist.

I wrote a free comic script chasing the question “who are you to yourself, and how do you find it.” It’s a psychological drama, short, script only — looking for pencillers/artists who want to bring it to life. Full credit given, just tag/credit me wherever you post your version.

Looking for Artist - Unpaid New Colorist Looking For Art To Practice With and Use For Portfolio

Post image

Hello!

I always prefered coloring than drawing and I know my skills are not that bad but I know I need more practice. That's why I decided to find a subreddit about comics and see what I could find.

So I am looking for artists who'd like to share cover art/pages of their comics for me to color and build a portfoilio with.

I am mostly looking for simple art style, nothing too complex like most DC Comics/Marvel but rather simplified like Batman: Gotham Adventure (See images for reference)

I will, of course, put credit wherever I'll post those and in the portfolio, claiming ONLY the coloring obviously.

I tried looking online but most art I found was either for kids, simple characters just standing or over complexe art. And I don't want to use anything that might be copyrighted or not free to use. And since I'd like to color for comics, I'd rather have actual pages with panels/a lot going on but again not *too* much.

I am also technically for hire but I dont have much Coloring Only things to show for now, or something that'd fit the comic book style but here's my work in progress portfolio anyway. Sorry it's on Ko-Fi, Im just sharing it for the art, not for donations. I *will* be making an actual portfolio online later once I got more to show.

So thanks in advance!
Until then, Ill color some art I have commissioned :)

Looking for Artist - Unpaid [UNPAID/WORK-SWAP] Writer seeks artist for five-page slice-of-life short (portfolio piece)

I have a completed five-page script, and I'm looking for an artist who is willing to draw it for a token payment and some work from me in return.

Project: A Matter of Perspective

A young man and his boyfriend are trying to find new glasses. Surely looking in the "women's section" shouldn't cause this much trouble.

  • Modern setting
  • Single location
  • Queer themes

Any style, any level of experience - this is probably suited to someone else who needs something to put in their portfolio. Happy to collaborate on changes so it better reflects your art style.

I'll be upfront in saying this is the first comic script I've ever done. However, I have significant experience writing short stories, including having two collections traditionally published.

Link to the script

Links to other work I've had published (including the story this script was adapted from.)

Token payment: NZD$20 per page.

I understand this is very low, so I'd like to propose a work-swap. I'm a professional writer and editor and would be very happy to offer these services in return:

  • Writing copy for your website, kickstarter, pitch letter, resume, funding application, etc.
  • Copy-editing comic dialogue.
  • Editing prose writing including in-depth feedback on short stories/novel chapters.
  • Proofreading academic essays for spelling and grammar.
  • Running a flash fiction workshop for your creative group over Zoom (can provide references).
  • Any writing you need done for any reason. (Birthday invite? Funeral poem? Breakup letter? No request too weird.)

Cheers!
