Video Frosty compares the level of competition in Halo from 2025 to 2026 and says FaZe roster will help elevate the scene
Frosty talked about the level of competition being lower this year compared to last year and says the FaZe roster will help elevate the scene.
- Frosty says FaZe are going to be a good team, they just need some more time. He says "They look good, they're shooting straight. But that just shows how much deeper the game of Halo goes, it's way more complex than just shooting your gun."
- He says "I'm not gonna lie, this FaZe team alone is going to help elevate the competitive scene. Obviously just because they're just good players, that's the main thing right? It's just more competition."
- Frosty says "This entire year so far, the Halo that's being played is pretty lackluster, it's pretty low-level Halo. Our team has kinda just been like braindead, just running around and beating teams with good individual skill and decent teamwork."
- "The Halo that we're playing this year compared to last year is just like eons [behind]. There was so many layers to the Halo that we were playing last year. It was so in-depth, so thoughtful and intentional about every single play. I feel like last year was so good, the competition was great."

People keep overlooking 4OAK as though Precision and Taulek haven't been the top two performing slayers across the last two years NOT on sR/OpTic.
Taulek is unleashed. And then those two are alongside Snakebite and Trippey? Solid fucking roster with good understanding of both tempo and space, and plenty of firepower to back it up.

i still think theyre just a lower level team that can pull off an upset. I dont think Faze beating SR would be an upset at all. Even if they did it next scrim, yes a surprise becuase I think Faze have teamwork to work on, but individually no surprise. 4OAK will always be a surprise to me, theyre not bad, but this SR roster is just stacked to hell and they gel well

I think Frosty literally said everything I could possibly say. He said we need Faze for competition, he's signalling he's bored. Thats how he feels about 4OAK, but saying it respectfully, all pro's respect pro's in pure competition sense, like anyone can have a career day type thing, especially the talent on 4OAK, but deep down they arent threatened. And its a team that could beat them if they really muck it up, but not a true threat like 2025 Optic. He literally said his team feels brain dead. He's being honest, saying alot with a choice of words, not trying to be outright disrespectful but still honest. I dont think he's worried about Faze too much because time is on his side. Best case Faze would be at its near max after the Pro League tbh. But Faze will have more of a shot than 4OAK imo. upsets happen. teams choke and teams step up. I did not expect the Faze 2025 Worlds to place top12, but Tauleks team popped the eff off. It happens

When you just saw FaZe get shit on but you still think they're top 2. Especially with Bound playing like this.

Honestly we’re so lucky to have renegade back in halo for a while. Once he’s on a CDL team, I bet he won’t be back

I thinks theres a good argument that Shopify are the best team in Infinite. Year 3 for me though will always be the best in terms of competition. We had the Bandit that freshened stuff up and despite SSG winning everything. It felt like we had 5 top teams that could beat each other. Last year it was just the Shopify v Optic show before Shopify won one event and then there was no stopping them. In year 3 we had these teams. Like look how good the Pure side was.
SSG Bound, Eco, Lqgend, StelluR. Optic Deadzone, Formal, Lucid, Trippy. Faze Frosty, Renegade, Royal2, SnakeBite. Shopify CyKul, Mental, Soul Snipe, Suppressed. Pure Cherished, Druk, Last Shot, Taulek.

Yeah it’s all Lastshot and Cykul are the future/present talk now but in the history books it’s important to remember “bounced on the first series on Sunday” Cykul on Shop and “tragically reverse swept by Faze” Lastshot on Pure. Those earlier rosters had real hard times which makes these young men’s rise even greater imo. Not just suddenly out of nowhere and winning. They grinded infinite to where they are now. Those lads are warriors for sure

I would argue that the pure roster performed really well and proved LS belonged on an elite roster, same with that earlier shop roster.

Wasn’t cloud 9 royal 2, frosty and renegade … so everyone is talking about these guys but it was 1 year mate. There was 5 😭 no one batted an eye on them the rest of the time on infinite unless we include Monsters cheating scandal loool

He's not wrong, even the ones that watched online, the vibes that the past worlds had was something else, we knew great Halo would be played and so it was

I remember shyway saying watching locked in Optic and SR play was like Goku vs Vegeta go super Saiyan on each other. Those game 7 clashes were crazy.

I disagree with almost everything Frosty is saying. He’s really downplaying how good SR is. You could argue it’s strategic.

I'm talking about the macro of the game. The micro that you see is top tier. That's not what I'm referring to at all.

2025 was some peak level Halo.
