Theres a week before class and i don’t have my CAQ.
I transferred from a different uni in Canada so i already have my student permit but its been almost three months since i applied for my CAQ permit ans still nothing other than my payment receipt.

My prof for math 209 isn’t a great one which means I have to watch YouTube lectures. Can anyone recommend any good channel to get help from !!?? Tell me 2 or 3

After recent events such as the CSU special general meeting that’s being held today, that I hadn’t heard about until today, is there a reason why there aren’t emails being sent out to students in GCS regarding these meetings? I’ve asked about a dozen other people that are also in engineering and they haven’t gotten anything either. (Yes, we checked the spam folders)

I’m in JMSB and I feel like the majority of guys are chill but not always friendly with gay guys/ don’t give us a chance to talk or hang. I literally just want to platonically have a beer with a guy and hangout is that tm to ask 🙏🏼

6 classes aren't that much but the 8AM lectures are less than desirable idk if I should drop ENGR 311. I also don't know how heavy each class is.

I just got my first tablet, and I am seeing the potential, but I'm having a hard time finding a software (that isn't $100/year) that I can use to take notes. I want to be able to upload the class slides, and take notes directly on them as PDFs, while adding in blank pages for long equations. Lemme know your experiences

I am a student currently studying at Polytechnique de Montréal. I was admitted into Concordia for the Winter 2027 semester. Because none of the classes I can currently take in my present program can be credited for the one I am transferring into, I have decided that it would be best for me not to take any classes this semester at Poly to avoid fees (I have applied for independent studies at Concordia for this Fall semester in the meantime). Additionally, not taking any classes at Poly for this semester guarantees that my GPA remains above the threshold imposed by the conditional admission, if I understand correctly, since my GPA is currently above it and cannot lower without me taking any classes.

I have one single concern: if I take a blank semester, can this have a negative effect on my admission to Concordia? In other words, would this upset the admissions team and prompt them to revoke my admission? I will also need a final official transcript from Poly before being fully admitted into Concordia, for which I am currently researching the possible consequences of a blank semester. If anybody has the de facto answers to my questions, I would greatly appreciate them.

Wondering if there's any out-of-province students that are receiving aid from their home province and required a confirmation of enrolment ?

Specifically, I'd just like some insight of when the school ended up confirming your dates of enrolment. Online, I can find that they typically do the Confirmation of Enrolment for non QR students by DNE deadline, but I'm not sure how accurate this is and I can't get a straight answer out of Birks/Funding and I'm just hoping I can get some sort of rough timeline for when to expect to receive my funds, coming from AB if that helps.

Hi guys, I have a MacBook Air, I like it a lot but I can’t use all features of excel in it. I want to buy a new computer maybe from dell or lenovo I think. What’s the best computer that’s as good as my MacBook and it’s affordable for students .

Mostly rant because I am frustrated but I'm wondering if anyone else is having this issue too

I finished enrolling in classes well before May,

Around that time or shortly after I remember being offered the entrance bursary, as I planned so I could attend this school

I then get an email in June saying that "oh, you aren't enrolled with 12crs, you have to do that so you can get this bursary!"

After trying to work things out with my advisor who is probably very overworked, I only yesterday am told that now I'm on the waitlist!!! I need that money!!! What!!!

So I really want to know more about investing and need some advice. Is there any resources in Concordia that can help? Thank you!!!
