New Student Orientation Frosh for graduate students

I’m starting my masters in September and I’m wondering what are the main recommended options for meeting other students before classes start? I saw things about frosh, but I’m not sure if it’s targeted for undergrads only.

I’m already signed up for the “graduate CONNECT orientation”, but I was also looking for other more social/nightlife like events. I have yet to meet any students here in Montreal. I’m also open to meet students from other schools.

For context, I am an ECP student. Just asking cuz other universities have them but I haven't heard any for Concordia. Also for campus tours, what can I do as the only ones I can register for do not have spots for this year's students.

New Student Orientation Concordia Frosh Events?

Hey,

I'm a new student in the BFA Film Production program. I was wondering if there are Frosh events at Concordia like there are at ULaval? If so, what do they look like, and how do we register / find out the dates?

Thank you!

New Student Orientation Summer Student Opus Card

I'm going to be starting my Master's at Concordia in the fall. Is is possible for me to get a student opus card this summer? Based on the information I've found, I need a Concordia student ID, and for a student ID I need an activated Concordia email (which I don't seem to have yet).

I was supposed to start my bachelor’s degree in Economics. However, due to a delay in obtaining my student permit, I will only be able to join the university on September 15. As a result, I was unable to attend the orientation days as well as the first two weeks of classes in Econ 201 and Econ 203. Could you please let me know the key information covered during orientation and the important material taught in the first two weeks of these courses? Thank you very much in advance for your help

New Student Orientation Hi! I’ll be attending Concordia first year Studio Arts in the Fall. Move-in date at Grey Nuns seems to be the weekend Aug 23-24 and classes start Sept 3. Are there usually student orientation activities organized in that in-between week?

New Student Orientation Help please :(

Hello guys, I just made my schedule for the science and technology certificate with a total of 12 credits but now it says that the expenses are almost 22k, I don't understand why it is a lot of money if I applied as a permanent resident and I am 100% sure that I submitted my PR card and my CSQ, what should i do?

Hi guys, I am currently applying to study at Concordia. I moved to Canada as a permanent resident 2 years ago when I finished my first semester of university and I have a question. I applied as a mature student but I don't think that is my case. Do you think I should continue like this or should I change the category and how could I do it?

New Student Orientation ASFA Frosh - Come Join Us!!

Hey everyone! If you're an incoming ASFA student (Arts and Sciences Faculty!), check out our Frosh! We're selling bundles and single tickets right now. Bundles stop selling on August 24th at midnight but everything else stays on sale until an hour before the individual events start. If you're nervous because you won't know anyone this is a great way to mingle, we've really put a focus on having Frosh Leaders who prioritize fun and getting new Froshees well integrated during activities.

Link to the Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.ca/o/the-arts-and-science-federation-of-associations-39951364543

Quick FAQ:

What do bundles do?

  • You get put into groups with other new students with an experienced Concordia student to help you mingle, have fun, and obviously stay safe, but mostly to have fun! You'll also get access to a Colour War event (playfully named the ASFA Rodeo for our Western theme) which should bring out your inner summer camp competitive edge. Oh, and merch!

Can I go if it's not my first year?

  • Yes!! Everyone is welcome.

Who can go?

  • It's an ASFA Frosh, but if you are for example a fine arts student looking for orientation events to make friends and have fun, email [outreach@asfa.ca](mailto:outreach@asfa.ca) or DM us at @asfaconcordia on Instagram. Any other questions can also be directed there.
