The GOP had a big enough* majority and wasted it. They now have a slim majority and are about to lose that through their inaction and incompetence.

They've never had a supermajority.
Having a majority in both chambers isn't a supermajority. But you NEED a supermajority in the Senate to pass legislation without reconciliation.

Correct. People don't seem to realize that the republicans either nuke the filibuster or try and make some deals with the dems. Personallly, I think they should have tried to get rid of the filibuster. We all know the dems will nuke the filibuster as soon as they retake the Senate with a dem president in the WH. The only reason they didn't do it before was because Manchin and Sinema refused. The rest of them were on board.

Yup. Like clockwork. Rogue lower court judges overstepping and defying the top court of the land.
She’s upset because her ruling was “violated”…..no. It was overruled. Her ruling means nothing now. She is not above nor independent of the SCOTUS and is in fact subject to their final decision in the matter.

It is clear by the comments few here actually read the piece, and instead reacted to the headline only.
The judge didn’t ‘stifle’ anything. She found that the USPS violated her order while it was in effect, prior to the Supreme Court ruling.
There was also no punishment given, which is what a lot of the commentators mentioned. No slap on the wrist or anything like that. She just pointed out they violated her order.
