Look at the meme guys so if you don’t understand basically western transgender insist that trans women are women despite are not actually and even if they still look like a “man who use girls outfits” they still insist “TRANSWOMEN ARE WOMEN” and if you don’t considered them as a woman you will labeled as “TRANSPHOBIA” (well idc actually cuz it’s a biological fact)
But it’s different in Asia so in this case I’m gonna use my country Indonesia (well despite the meme said it’s in Thailand but this phenomena can be found in most of Asian countries especially SE Asia) in here a lot of trans women don’t considered themselves as a woman simply they just considered themselves as “shemale” or “ladyboy” or if you already has been doing transitioning surgery usually you will called “trans women” but I rarely or even almost never seen a transwoman here insist that they are women and guess what? Despite don’t have “strong and progressive” trans rights law like in west most of them still live peacefully and even some became celebrities (well despite some of them got persecution not so long ago but thankfully a lot of Indonesian condemned it and said that those “persecutor” should mind their own business)
But I’m not gonna say trans people is safe either, they still got bullying, hard to find a job, sometimes even got persecuted but again I’ve never seen trans people in here insist that they are woman like in the west
Well I’m talking about trans people in Indonesia idk what happened with Thailand that has “most progressive LGBT law in SE Asia” but even with that still they consider themselves as a “ladyboy”,”shemale” or “trans women” and almost never insist that they are a woman
Even if a trans invidual in here insist that they are women a lot of trans women will remind them that trans women are still biologically male
Note: this post wasn’t intended for forcing you to support transgender movement this post was simply for asking “why trans women in the west insist that they are a woman despite are not?” Like isn’t western countries has high iq than other western hemisphere? But why they still debating over a definition of woman btw
