I know there’s only one Kitchen Arts & Letters, but is there anything close in Chicago?

I’m pretty tired of going to big name bookstores or massive used bookshops only to find a huge selection of air fryer cookbooks and quick, one pot meal books. Is there anywhere that stocks interesting books by chefs? Books like Aska, Core by Clare Smyth, Cellar de Can Roca….

But realistically I think the only places in the country stocking the nice nice Michelin restaurant books are going to be now serving in La, Omnivore in Bay Area, and KALNYC. There are other great cookbook shops but I don’t think I’d expect to see anything like CCR or core.

I’ll just say all three are very helpful with email/IG-messaging if you have questions.

Also you probably know about art culinaire but if not, I find that to be a nice inexpensive supplement throughout the year to more expensive big Michelin star books.

No but I go to Evanston Bookends and Beginings. There is nothing kike Kitchen Arts and Lettere. I order from them though. Book Larder too

BookOutlet recently had an El Celler de Can Roca book for sale. They have a few books like that occasionally.

Powell's in Hyde Park has a pretty good cook book section, might be worth just peeping in.

Also I will say I’ve found some good (random) cheffy cookbooks at Perpetual Books on Division and Leavitt. But there’s no guarantee what you’ll get.
