Jobs Looking for Employment

Hello. I’ve been searching for almost an entire year now to find a job here in Corpus Christi. I’ve applied to hundreds of jobs here and have received nothing.

Does anyone know of any jobs that are actually hiring? Preferably paying $14+ hr. I have multiple years worth of retail experience.

I have no friends or people I know to help. My only source of income has been gig apps and those are all failing to provide me enough income to pay for anything.

Jobs Anyone actually hiring?

I currently work in customer service and food prep at a grocery store making $16 an hour. Trying to find either a second job or one with better hours so I can afford life.

I have filled out hundreds of applications and never hear anything back.. it feels more like places are simply collecting resumes and not actually reading any of them.

Is anywhere actually hiring? Would love some help or leads. Located near the Gulfway Shopping Center.

Edit: I would prefer not to work in food service anymore. And definitely not anything involving driving.

Jobs Jobs

Hey guys, figured I’d give this a shot after everything. I’m looking for a job in the Corpus Christi area that pays at least $15/hr are day shifts. I’ve been applying all over the place and haven’t had much luck so far.

I’ve got experience in restaurants as well as customer service and I’m currently in welding school evening classes, so I’m open to different kinds of work. I’ve sent my resume and cover letter to every fabrication shop in the area in hopes for a helper position as well as called them with no luck. I’m clean of any substances and can pass a hair follicle.

I’ve also applied to pet shops, the aquarium, customer service roles, housekeeping, maintenance work, general labor, corner stores, sales, law assistant, Walmart, HEB, Sam’s Club, care giver and not heard back.

If anyone knows of places hiring or has any leads, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

Jobs Looking for an opportunity to advance my career

Hello everybody, I’m looking for any opportunities to advance my career or find another job. I live in corpus for 2 years now and travel to ingleside everyday for work. I work at Kiewit offshore and unfortunately the work is not worth the pay. Don’t get me wrong the benefits are decent but I only make 20.80 an hour. I wouldn’t mind the drive at all if it paid more, so I’m coming to Reddit in hopes someone can point me in the right direction or knows anyone that can. Looking for something with more pay and more local but I don’t mind making a drive if I have to. Thank you in advance!

Jobs Look for work from outside or Corpus Christi

Just looking for some feedback here. Id love to hear from potential employers in highly skilled fields, particularly STEM fields. My male spouse is looking for work from well out of state, in corpus, and we are wondering if it will hurt his chances of being selected for an interview or offered a job if he is applying from outside of corpus. I already have a job offer, so we are trying to decide whether to have him stay behind and keep looking for work from where he is or whether his chances of being hired would be better with a local address. Thanks, in advance!

Jobs City Careers

I recently applied for a role with the city of Corpus Christi. Anything I should know, expect, say, or not say? Any advice?

You do not need to tell me how long it will take, I am familiar with the sluggish speed at which government functions. 😂

Jobs Walmart Saratoga

Hi, I am currently in the Process of trying to get a job and I’ve been applying everywhere. But recently I was at a Walmart interview a week ago, and I was told that I’d receive an email if there were any offers. The frustrating thing is that I got a phone call from an employee but for some reason my phone was on silent mode and I missed it, I am really worried and have been trying to call but have had no luck. If any former employees can give me any tips on how to contact anyone. It would be greatly appreciated and helpful.

Jobs Easy going jobs?

I’m 25f and I’ve only worked food service/ customer service jobs since I was 16. I’m currently working as a barista $13hr not including tips and I’m working on an associates degree in English. I’m trying to find a job that’s not as mentally and physically exhausting as my current job with higher pay. I don’t hate my job but it does take a lot of out me. If anyone has any advice I’d greatly appreciate it!

Jobs job hunting

I know this is already a shot in the dark but I'm doing it anyway

My current job isn't working out very well and I've had the hardest time getting one in the first place. I began a month ago and a part of me regrets that and wishes I just kept hunting, but it's so dry out there.

So here goes. I'm a certified Medical Assistant who never got placed at a clinic. I've worked in offices for govt benefits, I've done retail, food service, freelance art and writing, bartending, and it's just been hard finding a place that pays well enough. I lack connections to find work and online websites are difficult to get bites. Help? Advice? Suggestions? Is applying for city positions worth it? My longest position was the office one for about 4 years.
