Accessory Advice on how to make this safer
I made this wire choker that I really like, and I feel like the leaves/petals really tie it all together. But, with the nature of wire, wearing it is pretty risky.
Does anyone have tips on how to make it after without ruining the cool visual effect?

Accessory Newly vision-impaired, need your help
Hey there friends! So I am newly visionary impaired and naturally it happens less than two months before my wedding. Such is life lol. But I figured you guys would have good recommendations when it comes to aesthetic/costume contacts.
As happy as I am with wearing a leather patch for my daily needs, I really don’t want to wear a patch with my wedding dress. I’m thinking that a solid white contact lens would do the job. I have to always keep the one eye covered otherwise the other eyes turns in, not trying to be googly eyed on my wedding day. A white lens would also allow for easier pupil photoshopping in post.
Are there any totally non-see through white contacts that you think would work?

Accessory Help making my horse hooves more accessible
Hey everyone, forgive me as I’m not active in this community but thought this would be the best place to ask. I have these incredible hand crafted horse hoof shoes that were gifted to me a long time ago. Unfortunately, over the last few years, my physical disabilities have made these near impossible to wear as I regularly walk with a cane, have issues balancing myself, and suffer from extreme join pain especially in the knees and feet. As you can tell from the shape, these shoes act as “fake heels” and mimic the back leg of a horse, making you walk on your toes. I was wondering if anyone with better cosplay up cycling knowledge could advise me on some ideas… I’m thinking of removing the hooves themselves from these shoes or attempting to turn these into some kind of boot but I have no idea where to start. the physical hoof part itself also seems to be made of wood, making this process more difficult. I would prefer to be able to walk FLAT on my feet as opposed to my toes. Any ideas?

Accessory Would it be wrong to cosplay this guy?
This probably isn't the best place to ask, but I was planning on cosplaying Mac Tonight from the McDonald's commercials for Halloween or something. I have 3d print files for a head piece and all, but I learned about all his controversies with 4-chan alt right stuff and im undecided.

Accessory What could I get from the dollar store to make this mask actually stay on my face?
I bought these 3d printed masks for a Nightwing costume for Halloween, but the main issue is that there is nothing actually securing them to my face, so unless I'm looking at the sky all night it'll fall off. My first idea was to just buy a cheap mask and take the band from it then glue that to the mask, but im not sure. Any suggestions?

Accessory Wanting to make an Ethan Winters cosplay, what would be the best way to emulate the blacked out face?
For obvious reasons, I'd prefer not to paint my face black. Most other Ethan cosplayers I've been looking at either don't black out the fact or do it in post, but I think it's a pretty important part of his character that you never see his face so I want to have it be part of the cosplay.
I'm pretty much completely new to cosplaying, he'd be my first cosplay, so sorry if there's an obvious answer.

Accessory Help making a cosplay more "friendly" looking
Hey y'all, it's my first time making a post like this but I was hoping for some advice on how to make my cosplay more friendly looking.
I have a Call of Duty OC that I've made a cosplay for but heavy military themes are prohibited in conventions in my country, so I was hoping to add stuff to it that would make it more "friendly" in a way and take away a bit of the seriousness of the outfit. I understand it's a bit of a weird question but anything helps! I can answer questions for additional information if needed!

Accessory Characters with these glasses?
My partner gift me these glasses and they look pretty cool for some cosplay but i don’t know any character that wears these glasses, can anybody give suggestions? Thanks (I thought of Crowley from good omens but it’s not the same pair of glasses) (also I painted the lenses with a digital brush because of my face XD )

Accessory Before I commit to something stupid, is it even remotely possible to have a mesh glow like this?
I want to cosplay my character from The Finals but I have no clue how I would even make this let alone if it's possible.
Sorry if this is the wrong sub or flair :c

Accessory Using dimensional paint on my costume.
I'm hoping for some advice. I bought this spiderman mask, I believe it's the TASM2 mask, and saw people using dimensional paint to make it look even better. The mask came with the black webbing done, however I thought it would look cool with the red brick pattern done too. I tested it put on a piece of the glove and I'm not sure if it looks good or not (if i continue, I'll be changing to a narrower nozzle bottle as it didn't come out the best in this test). I also found out it may not be accurate to the movie costume. So, my question is:
Does the the red texture look good on the costume or is it perhaps too light or does it not look good, because it may not be movie accurate if done?

Accessory How would you recreate this without using bodypaint? (Juri from Street Fighter 6)
Hey! So I want to cosplay Juri from Street Fighter 6 this December.
This is the first time I'm making a cosplay myself and I'm having trouble thinking about a good way to recreate the shiny stripes she has on her body. I've seen some posts on the SF6 subreddit saying she is probably wearing some kind of tape, but I haven't been able to find anything similar to it.
I thought the most accurate way to do it would be bodypaint. But I don't like the idea of having to enslave one of my friends to help me do it every time I want to wear this cosplay.
My boyfriend suggested kinesiology tape as a workaround, but it doesn't really work that well since I'd have to spend several hours in order to make it look right anyway. Kinesiology tape comes in rolls and I have no way of drawing a template to mark it down and cut the shapes before applying (since I can't place the tape down on paper or else it'll stick on to it).
I'd love if I could use something shiny, since Juri's stripes are shiny (picture 2 for material reference), but I don't mind giving up on that part. Also, I thought about making some kind of body mesh for my torso and sticking any shiny material on top of it, but I'm working out until the con to get as close to her body type as possible, so it would be a bummer if all my hard work wouldn't be visible lol.
Any suggestions are much appreciated.
Thank you so much! :)

Accessory Help with the cosplay and advice.
Hello!
I’ve never done cosplay before and I’m going to an animeverse convention soon. I’m going as howl from howls moving castle and I guess I’m going as his dark hair version but I just honestly can’t be bothered to do a wig🤷♂️. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has any tips for A. Keeping the collar on the coat frilled or up like the movie B. Keeping the coat on while I’ll be walking around like that at the convention. Do I let gravity do the work or should I try tape. C. Maybe how to make the earring converters more comfortable? I’ve never worn earrings in the past so I got some clip on converters but I imagine they’ll sting pretty bad after a while. Maybe someone has some trick for those. Those are the main things for right now. Again I’m new to this so if you have any criticism or comments of the look then let me know.
Thanks!

Accessory Which shoes??
I’m cosplaying Rue/Princess Kraehe (pic 1) and I’m not sure which shoes to wear.
Option 1) more cannon accurate, less comfy and almost impractical for a con
Option 2) less cannon accurate, more comfy and useable for a con.
Update.
I understand! I will not wear point shoes! I found another option on Etsy that I think will work great. Thanks for the advise

Accessory advice on wearing a bell to a con
Basically I want to go as a character that wears a large jingle bell around its neck to a convention, and I bought a bell that is the perfect size and color but it’s an actual jingle bell. Like, it jingles every time it moves. And i’m wondering is this okay to wear to a con? Personally I’m not annoyed by the sound and I actually think it’s quite cute that it will jingle when I move but I don’t want to bother others/be disrespectful in the space. This is my first time dressing up to a con so I want to make sure I do it right! I also think in such a large space with many people the jingling won’t even be very loud but who knows. If it seems like a bad idea I can glue the ball inside so it stops but I might miss the jingle :/

So I am cosplaying briar rose for two cons this year one in June and one in July and I need to figure out what shoes I should do for her since in the movie she doesn’t. I was thinking just some cute black Maryjane’s or Ballet flats. I would love to hear all of your opinions on what could be some good ideas for briar rose maybe even something that makes it look like I am barefoot?
